Freewheelin’ Friday (#15)
Just a few things to show you before I’m off to continue my lovely day…
I finally found a word with “Un” that I liked to use for prompt #5
at A Year in the Life of an Art Journal.
UNVEIL
I liked my former art journal page so much that I used some elements of it
again on this page…
For the background I used a magazine page (the Buddha image is hardly
visible anymore…) and dictionary paper.
Tim Holtz spray ink: terra cotta, butterscotch and raisin.
On top of that I transfered a photo of me as a teenager, sitting on the beach.
Typing the word
“Unveil” on some
quote sites on the
Internet led me to
this wonderful
quote by
James Allen:

what you shall

Photo transfer

medium.
This is me at
the age of 13.
At least I think
I was that age.
I remember that
jacket, it was
made of a strange
fabric – like paper
and it had the
image of a “radio
pirate ship” on
the back.

Last week I saw this layout made by my friend Lena.
Ever since she participated in my workshop, she’s fond of doodling,
and I love her “black and white borders” so much that I scraplifted it
onto this ATC…
It is so relaxing to sit down at the table and doodle…
I even doodled the back of the card… Cute!!!
(And yes, I made one extra to put in my “trade folder” in my gallery.

And this is all for today… are you curious what I ment with the first
sentence of this post? Why this is a lovely day?
THIS IS WHY!!!
My parents came yesterday to stay with us for a couple of days.
We had a lovely evening with a wonderful diner (mussels!) and a lot of fun
(as you can see… hahahahaha!!!)
We’re off to “hit the town” today and do some shopping… YAY!

Op SIS al commentaartjes gegeven op je laatste werken… ze zijn echt heeeel mooi!! En leuk dat je mijn werk een onder de aandacht brengt van jou blogvrienden!! Thanks!! Fijn dat je ouders op bezoek zijn, geef ze mijn hartelijke groetjes en ik hoop dat de rest van hun bezoek net zo gezellig zal zijn als op de foto’s te zien is!!!

Je art-journal page is prachtig, Marit!! I hou van deze warme kleuren! En doodlen is inderdaad een relaxte bezigheid. Je ATC is geweldig geworden!
En wat een leuke foto’s van jou en je ouders. Je hebt het vast al héél vaak gehoord, maar je lijkt echt sprekend op je vader.

wow, wat een geweldige art journal page! Ik blijf het zeggen hè 🙂 Maar het is echt zo!!
Prachtige kleuren en transfers, heerlijke sfeer ademt deze pagina uit!
Heel veel plezier komende dagen met je ouders, aan de foto`s te zien gaat het heel gezellig worden.

Deze art journalpagina is al net zo mooi als de vorige, mooie warme kleuren en fototransfer.Deze ATC in een vrolijke “knal” kleur is ook super. Leuk hè doedelen!!! Nog een gezellig weekend met je ouders. Groetjes

Oh, ik zag je art journal page net gisteren op de “A year…” site, en heb gelijk een commentaartje achtergelaten om je te vertellen hoe fantastisch ik deze pagina wel niet vind! Ongelooflijk mooi!!!
Ik zag ook in één van je commentaartjes op andere sites links naar sites over zendoodling … leuk zeg, ga ik zeker eens een keertje proberen en kan ik gebruiken in de doodling opdracht van je workshop. Ik heb les 6 afgekregen, nu moet ik aan de collage beginnen … ik weet echt niet waar te beginnen, ik denk dat het niet echt mijn ding gaat zijn, maar wie weet, misschien eens dat ik bezig ben …

What a beautiful Art page Marit!Love that quote and I love your background…,ik typ alweer in het Engels,sorry, komt door mijn rondje visieten op alle blogs.Ik moet die transfer nog een keer doen,z’on gaaf effect!Je ATC is prachtig, ik heb het doedelen ook helemaal te pakken 😉

looks like you’re having fun with your parents. i spent the weekend with mine too and we had a blast.
i love the journal page. that photo is very cool and i love the quote you put with it.
the doodled ATC is great. i’ve had fun doodling more now too.

Prachtig Marit! Ik kan niet anders zeggen! Ben een paar weken afwezig geweest, dus ik ga nog een paar posten na. Je lijkt sprekend op je pa! Heerlijk dat je zo van hen genieten kan!
