Freewheelin’ Friday (#21)
I buy a lot of my scrap supplies in the “Artist Store”.
It is not a scrapbook store – they don’t have Tim Holtz ink and 12 x 12 paper
(they do sell Copic markers though!) but since I’m more into art journaling
I come there often to get me plain paper, permanent markers and so on.
Do you know the smell of an artist store…??? Hmmmm!!!
Long time ago, that store provided me with a “savings card” and every time
I bought something, they wrote the amount on my card.
Feel it coming?
Yep! Last week,
my card was full!!!!
That meant that they
calculate 15 % of the
total amount on my
card, and I could
“free shop” for that!
YEAY!!!
I’ve been glancing
at this box with
oil pastels for
a while and now
I went for it!
I even had money left
to buy permanent
markers and
aquarelle paper!
Now THAT’S a fun way of shopping!!!

It was a good week for art supplies ’cause look what the mailman brought…

I won Scrapping the Music challenge #127 in March with this layout, and
I received a Pink Paislee kit, along with a Maya Road Curved Scalloped album!
..
I worked my ass off this week, writing lessons for the workshop which
started today, and I hadn’t much time left to do anything else…
But I can’t go completely WITHOUT creating all week, so I sneaked in an ATC.
The words come from a very silly song “Teddy bear’s Picnic” but
this line went so well with the image…
And that’s all.
It’s raining over here.
And I’m cold.
I’m stressed and cranky.

Free shopping – what fun! you will love the oil pastels. and what fun you will have with the Pink Paislee toys. Love that atc – mixing that little lyric with the bathing beauty is genius! Good luck on the class – so wish that I could take it – I know that it will be awesome!

Hehehe same here!!! De kou komt me nu toch wel een beetje mijn neus uit, in Mei de verwarming nog aan is toch te gek voor woorden???!!!

stressed and cranky?? Met al die leuke nieuwe craft spullen? Komt vast door het weer, gelukkig heb ik er nog geen last van 🙂

I have just about everything BUT oil pastels…would love to try the “extra” lesson with those…any other suggestions?
Weird, it’s rainy here, too, back to 50 degrees but should be back up in the 70s by Sunday (Mother’s Day here in the U.S.) …I feel extra-creative on rainy days…

Ohhhhhh you are going to love your oil pastels – they are one of my fave things for journaling!!! I love the ATC too, and I’m so glad you got your STM prize!

Korting!!! Yeahhh!! It’s a magic word, lol! Ziet er goed uit hoor, die doos! En je Happy Mail mag er ook zijn. Ben benieuwd wat je daarmee gaat maken, vind het nl niet helemaal ‘jouw stijl’..
En ja, die kou die ben ik ook he-le-maal beu!!

what a great way to spend your “free money”. i’ve never used oil pastels, but i feel the urge to try them out. i need to buy a book or do some on-line research.
i remember that layout. you certainly deserve to win all the cool supplies.
that’s a great ATC. you’re right…those song lyrics go perfect with the card. i love your creativity and imagination. i always get inspired by your work.
i hope you’re having fun with your class.

Ik ben de laatste tijd ook meer in mijn “art store” te vinden dan in een “scrap store” … (door wiens invloed zou dat zijn rara???? hihi) Ik had die oil pastels al zeker een jaar hier in huis liggen voor ik er voor de eerste keer mee aan de slag ging, maar toen ik ze uiteindelijk gebruikte was ik er helemaal weg van! Het is nog niet zo lang geleden hoor, in één van mijn laatste posts heb ik een LO van Christina gepost, “blossom” genaamd. Je moet maar eens gaan kijken. Ik had de achtergrond met pastel roze en oranje verf geverfd, en ben daarna met fel roze oil pastels rond de randjes gegaan. Het effect is enorm (alé, dat vind ik toch…)! Het werkt dus ook perfect over acrylic verf (maar dat wist JIJ natuurlijk al hihi).
