“Weekly anticipation”

Thanks for all the nice words on my Gutter Girlz Guest spot!!!
I really appreciate all your comments (I always do!) and I’m
honoured that I have so many blog readers that like my work!

Had to spit this out before I start my usual chatter!

..

If you keep a blog of your own, you know how difficult it is sometimes to
come up with a proper title for every time you blog…
I “mixed” the words of the two pages I’m gonna show to make mine
this time… it makes an intriguing title don’t you think?

“Weekly” – for the page in my weekly journal. (Week 19)

The quote in the middle is from Marie von Ebner – Eschenbach.
It’s the last part of a quote and it says something like: “only he who never
dreamed is really poor”.
I added this sentence because some BIG dreams presented themselves last
week – I won’t even start to explain and I don’t think they will come true.
But a girl can dream… and that’s why I added the quote.

..

Alrightie… next!

The theme this month over at Scrapping from the inside out is “Anticipation”
(as you know, they sell kits going with the theme… it’s a gorgeous kit this
time, all stuffed with wonderful paper and alphas and so on. Take a look here!)

I played along with this word and no, I don’t have the kit.
This is why…

Those tickets flying all across the page are lottery tickets!
Now you know why I don’t have a subscription to scrap kits… there’s no
budget for luxury – I need to win the lottery first!

I later realized that I probably had the subtitle wrong, it says “If I won the
lottery” and I guess it should say “win” – ah, never mind.

I made this page
elaborating on
the dream theme.

– as Abba sang:
“all the things
I could do if
I had a little money”
Yep, I’m from
the Abba generation…

.

.

…and I sure feel like it too, ’cause I woke up with thick eyes and black
bags under my eyes this morning. No, I didn’t do something unusual.
I didn’t party, I didn’t stay up late.. it’s just the “getting older” thing.
It’s evidence that I’ve had my best time… physical that is, ’cause I’m
convinced my creative “best time” has only just started!

OK, enough.
I’m getting old.
Isn’t that what we all want?!
(but we don’t want to BE old, huh?!)

..

My son took his first exam (out of 7) yesterday. “Nederlands” (Dutch
language) He said it went fine, but he was nervous for today – “Latijn”
(Latin – classic language).
He’s in the middle of it right now as I write this…
He read your nice comments and cheering last Sunday, and he was really
pleased with it, so THANK YOU my friends for the uplifting words –
keep ‘m coming πŸ˜‰

..

Sun is shining today, and I have some more work to do.
So off I go… hope you all have a lovely week and see you again on Friday!

I feel very much supported by all your lovely motivating comments! It realy cheers me up!
My native language exam did indeed go very well (I guess my grade will be somewhere between a 7 and 8 (out of 10)) and as my mum said, today I had my Latin exam, which consisted of answering questions about texts that we’ve read this year and translating a whole new text. I think this went as well as Dutch, so I’m pleased…
    Thanks again for the sympathising!

I wish the hardest problem I had was what to title my blog. I haven’t felt much like blogging. I don’t know how those who do it everyday get it done.

I really like the colors in the Anticipation entry. I need a haircut too.

Tell Nout good luck for me!! I took latin, 57 years ago when I was in high school. Why do we take this language. It is SO dead. But, I enjoyed it, and learning all the mythology was great. Youth…..I’m like you Marit. Getting old. and no, I don’t love it either, but it is far better than the alternative!!!
