Like a filmstar…

Last week, I finished all the urgent pursuits and now I have more
TIME, TIME, TIME!
YAY!!!!

This week started in a very special way.
I will show you!
Sit down, have a coffee and let me lead you to a special evening…

..

..

Imagine
a beautiful
summer evening.
The sun is
still shining
and there’s just
a little breeze.

We take
our bike
to pedal
gently
through
the beautiful
countryside.

Our ride ends
at this entrance way
that leads to..

a castle!

We get there a little early, there are not much people yet,
which gives me time and space to take some wonderful photos.

The red carpet
has been laid out
and there’s a sense
of expectation
hanging in the air.

More and more people
gather behind the gates.

Restless men with little
earphones saunter
back and forth over
the bridge.

The photographer
is looking for the best
spot to take his pictures…

…and we all are waiting for
the things to happen …

And then
it starts!

Just after
7 pm
the first
graduates
arrive in
big cars,
limousines even!

Proud young men
dressed in suits and
proud young ladies
in evening gowns.

We, the public: parents,
grandparents, family & friends,
people from the nearby village

we all applaud for these young people that stand on the threshold of a new life.

I take a lot of pictures too.

I’m a proud mama…

..

On to my weekly art journal.
Here’s the page I made for week 23

If you read my last post then maybe you will recognize the postcard
as a painting by Johnny Beerens.

Here’s the same page but now with the postcard unfolded.

..

I was awarded again last week!
I received this sunshine award from Peggy, thanks my Belgium friend!

I have to pass this on to twelve people, that’s quite a lot!!! I awarded
most of you a little while ago so I will not choose 12 people this time.
Just three.

LENA, who does not has a
weblog at the moment (her
work is still in a SIS gallery tho!)
but I know for a fact that she
will have her own blog in the
near future! So sweetie, this
one’s for you. Keep it in store
and proudly publish it when
the time has come!

ANNE G-I, who is one of the
most studious, zealous and
enthusiastic students in my
workshop!

PATTY, who never fails to
brighten up my day with her
stories and comments!

..

This was a long post… as I used to write before I got all that mixed up in
appointments and deadlines! Expect to see more of these, AND more
artwork from me coming from now on! I’m back in business!!! YAY

Je t’embrasse!

I am gathering advice and wisdom from all over the world – to add in a mini
album I’m creating for my son to give to him as he graduates highschool Γ‘nd
turns 18. What would you say to him? What advice would you give to a young
adult, stepping into a new life phase? All quotes, suggestions, advice, poems
and so on are welcome! Read more about it in this post.
