Hot and groovy!
(Freewheelin’ Friday #28)
Apologies for being absent on your (and my) blog last week…
you know it’s HOT in the Netherlands (98 degrees today!) and upstairs,
where the computer is, temperature rises even higher!
Not only I can’t stand it – my computer can’t handle it either (he’s almost
ready to retire) so most of the day I let him rest and cool off….
But thisย morning he will have to work a bit ’cause I will give you a little
update on last week before I let him sleep again… He better work with me!
Hi! Good morning friends! How are you all! Not melted yet?
Since my son was away all week, I could work on “you know what…”
and here’s a little sneak for you
..
..
His 18th birthday is next Monday and I try hard to get everything done
in time. Thanks to all of you who send me something for the “you know what”
๐ (I don’t know if he will read this post this weekend – so I won’t name it)
Look at how much I did!
I will show you photo’s of the complete “you know what” (am I sounding
like Harry Potter yet?) next week after his birthday!
..
I also experimented with ink and salt and here’s the background
I created for my weekly journal page.
I’m totally hooked on this technique right now!
I could experiment with it all day (but have other things to do *teehee*)
Look at this amazing background!
I hardly dare to go write on this or glue images to it.
We’ll see if I find the nerve to do so in the next days…
..
MAN… I’m sweating already and my computer makes strange noises…
grrrrr….
Better shut the darn thing off and leave him alone for a while.
..
There will be big announcements next week.
And a lot of pictures.
But for now, I leave you with a sunny picture – especially for Michelle ๐
GROOOOOVYYYY……
..
You all have a marvelous weekend.
Stay cool!
Have fun!
Hup Holland!
Je t’embrasse!

Cute glasses. Can’t wait to see the final “You know what.” I am just now slowing down and if you can see it is 2:40 a.m. I WAS asleep, but something woke me and now I can’t go back.
We have cooler temperatures here because of the hurricane down in Mexico. Although hurricanes are bad, I will take the cooler temperature.
Take it easy on that computer.

Wow Marit, wat maak je me nieuwsgierig!!!
En inderdaad, het is heet. Hรฉรฉl heet!

Kusjes xxx Peggy
PS. Coole foto!!

Oh flip, Marit, I completely forgot about Nout’s book! Bother! Just finished the first year of my course a couple of weeks ago and I’ve barely wound down, so apologies. I had something good to tell him, too!
Love the pink glasses – we bought a pair of those many years ago and they lived in a drawer until fairly recently when they had some sort of accident and now they are no more! ๐

Wat was het warm he!! Gelukkig dat het vandaag meevalt maar ik begreep dat de temperaturen woensdag alweer gaan stijgen!
Ben benieuwd naar het resultaat van je album voor Nout, je bent al flink opgeschoten!!!

It’s hot in the US too Marit!! 98 degrees as well in NY, with the heat index saying it will feel like 109. Fun.
I feel like an idiot!! I sent you an email with my “advice for Nout”. I should have sent a card. ugh.
Stay cool, and I anxiously await your announcements!!!
PS. I DIDN’T notice the blinkie till you mentioned it!! FABULOUS!!

Your art journals are so creative and inspiring! I’ve been back to look at the Leonard Cohen journal many times. I’ve always found his songs compelling, and you’ve added another dimention of his work with your journal. I love it!
