Did we scare you?

I’m glad you all liked our special “sneak peek trailer” for the upcoming
workshop! However, I did notice that some questions arose about the
“Mixed Emotions” workshop.

Yep, this workshop is about exploring emotions, but

IT IS NOT THERAPY!

After all, an art journal workshops should be fun, and ours will be!
We don’t expect you to poor out your heart and soul on the pages,
we don’t expect
you to share your deepest feelings with us.
If you want to do that, that’s OK ofcourse, but we are prepared to
the fact that you want to keep your deepest feelings and emotions
to yourself.

There’s no need to be scared that you will be forced to open up.
Each lesson comes with questions and quotes that will help you
to explore the highlighted emotion in all directions. You can go
as private – or not – as you wish. The techniques that come with
each lesson will be fun to use in every way.

OK.
Now that’s cleared up I hope!
If there are any questions left, shoot me en email and I’ll be
happy to answer them!

On to some creativeness then…

Spoiled rotten!

Thank you for all your birthday wishes dear friends and readers!
I had a relaxed, easy going day with my two men last Saturday,
and I was spoiled rotten! Look what my sweetie bought me!

..

Aaaah – a video camera!!!! (or is it called “cad cam?”)

Whenever I wanted to make a video-tutorial for my online workshops,
I had to borrow the camera from my neighbour.
It became quite annoying, for her as well as for me, but now I have my own!
I don’t know how to use it yet – my beloved knows ’cause we spend
the weekend making movies for the upcoming workshop – so I was
in front of the camera showing techniques…

And my dear son is a genius in picking presents – he bought me this!

..

He never asked what I wanted
for my birthday – he just
dived into the bookstore and
from all the books that are
for sale there, he picks THIS
from the shelves!!!!

HOW COOL!

And how WELL he
knows his mom!!!!

..

And yes, don’t worry,
there is some creativeness
in this blogpost too!
I finally have something
to show you.

I pushed her just a little bit ;)

Good morning, good morning.
It’s fun to think you all wake up in another town, another country…
and in a few hours my son will wake up here:

This photo makes me sing Bob Dylan songs!
Cryptic?
Mwaaaahhhh…. not for old hippies like me!
This is a photo of Nashville.
“Nashville Skyline” – an album by Bob Dylan.
One of my faves actually.
Especially the song he recorded with Johnny Cash:
“Girl from the North Country”…
And “Lay Lady Lay”
*sigh*

Don’t stop reading here, I won’t get sentimental.
One last thing about my son in Nashville though – he e-mailed
that he “might come home with a pair of cool cowboy boots.”
If he will, I will take pictures! Promise!

..

On to other creative outbursts (’cause my son and cowboy boots
is definitely a creative outburst!)

...and yes, there is an explanation for the title of this post!

And what a party it was!

Did you visit my mad tea party? (See former post if you missed it!)

HOLY COW… the list of participants was almost endless, and I still
haven’t visited all the tea parties and blogs…
I try to work my way down the list, but it will probably take a week
to visit everyone and read their posts – and you will understand
I can’t sip tea all day – there are other things that keep me busy too.

Real busy.

Like, “two-people -in-da-house-working-hard-on-it” busy.
“New-website-new-look-new-name-new-logo-two languages” busy!
It won’t take long now before I can show you – another week maybe?

..

Anyway, on to some creativity…

Walking the yellow brick road

Let’s start with the yellow brick road.

When I looked for a picture of it on the Internet this morning, I not only
found it on a blog – I also read the words accompanying this pic,
written by Vanessa Leigh:

“The yellow brick road,
the road to everywhere
and nowhere at the same
time…. …in my life, there
have been so many paths
that I have taken, ones
that have been yellow
brick roads to my goal,
my pursuit, my dream,
or so I thought at least.
Some of the yellow
brick that I have followed
have been dead ends…
….

….
But, every path was meaning, every brick in those roads was purposeful
and meaningful, and I needed to gain full trust in myself that I knew,
deep within, which way to go. I ALWAYS trust my soul now, no question.

Freewheelin’ Friday (#10)

Today is all about bits and pieces because that’s what I found when I came
out of bed this morning!

This is what my window-sill looked like!
Little bits and pieces of projects I started yesterday.

Freewheelin’ Friday (#6)

Hi there ladies, it’s Friday again!
The sun is shining, birds are twinklin’ and I woke up with SPRING on my mind!
But it isn’t here yet – and another cold period is predicted so I won’t get my
expectations too high…
