Freewheelin’ Friday (#9)

I’m hooked!
I’m hooked on art journaling and ever since Glenda mentioned the online
store “VivaLasVegaStamps” I’m hooked on that too!
Look what came in the mail this week…

After I ordered these stamps, they arrived within a week!
All the way from Vegas! Now THAT’S some service! Wohwee!!!

It’s that I’m on a budget, otherwise I’d buy more, and more, and more of these
beauty’s! I spend quite some time on their site, drooling over all the gorgeous
stamps, giggling over some text-stamps (“Elvis is dead and I’m not feeling
too good myself”) and narrowing down my “first choice” in stamps to a
reasonable amount (my first choice would have cost me $180)
I’m totally in love with the “running lady” (the big stamp on the left) and she
reminds me of my friend Lenny!!! Aaaah, dear Lenny (bonjour ma belle!)

Last Lotus Layout…!

Yes, you read that right… this will be my last Lotus Paperie layout
as a design team member! My term ends today…
I was in the team from June ’till now, and I loved to make a “Lotus layout”
every week. I didn’t submit for another term though, ’cause I find it only
fair to give other scrapbookers a change to get in the team too.
Also – as you know – I’m moving on and am exited to dive into a
new adventure called “online workshops”…

The new Lotus Paperie DT was presented yesterday.
So here’s a big cheer for the new ladies: congratulations girls!
Go check the new DT out on the Lotus blog and leave them some love!

This week,
the challenge is
to work with
this sketch.
I definitely
wanted to
make a
“goodbye layout”
and this
sketch was
just perfect
for it!

So here it is….
waving goodbye…

And as the seasons
come and go…

The past few days, it was all about Harlee Quinnz Degins!
We worked so hard, the Design Team made a lot of layouts with those
fantastic paperlines (as did I, but more about that in a minute)  and my
beloved and I helped their web mistress to put the shop and blog online.

The website itself will be updated too, but the shop is now online so
you can get those wonderful papers and stamps yourself… also, the
Harlee Quinnz Design Team blog is all set to go… some layouts are already
uploaded in the galleries and the posting will start soon.
Make sure you take a look, and come back for more every week!

In between, I found time to create this little harmonica album…
(There will be a tutorial about how to make this on the
Harlee Quinnz Designs blog in the next couple of weeks,
I’ll keep you posted on that…)

It’s made with
Harlee Quinnz
paper & stamps and
I wrapped one of
their fibers around
it to keep it closed.
The colours go
soooo well
with the paper,
don’t you think?

Overflow….

I AM BLOGGING FOR 6 MONTHS TODAY!!!

And look where it brought me… I “met” a lot of lovely scrapbookers from all over the world, it brought me tons of inspiration, I got nice feedback and sweet words from all of you, it got me in a Design Team and I have some true followers who read my blog and inspire me to keep on going –
I wanna thank you all!!!
So ladies, keep on visiting me and 6 months from now I will offer you all some nice goodies; the one-year-online-date will not go by unnoticed, I promise!

Because I had a party going on here since Friday (see former post) and a lot to organize and re-organize, I forgot to show you some lay outs – tell you things etc. etc. This post is to catch up with all that so beware… this will be a chaotic post with lots of random stuff and some lovely pics!!!

Happy birthday sweetie!!!

Today is my best friend’s birthday – and she’s a true follower of my blog too
so here it comes just for you Lena…
HOORAY, HOORAY, HOORAY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I sent her a lot of good wishes in this little book I made last week
(I scraplifted my own “morning paper” book)

I have another yummie present laying waiting for her.
She will visit me soon and I will give her the present then. Rather than putting the money into stamps, I’ll buy us a fine bottle of wine instead which we will drink together…

She’s very creative, and I guess we will spend the days scrapping, painting, playing with paper, talking, drinking, eating, giggling…. the usual girls stuff.
I’m soooo looking forward to it!

She likes to scrap too, but she’s more of a painter.
She makes the most marvellous paintings and I’d like to show you one …

Small talk

Helen and Lou received my gift this week. Of course I took photo’s of what I made before shipping it and because Helen published some pics on her blog today, I can show it to you too! I made her this little book.

(More pics of this are here in my gallery.)
A few weeks ago, I published a tutorial on how to make such a book.
You’ll find that overhere.
