Yep, my son started at the Radboud University of Nijmegen this week.
He leaves home every morning on bike. At the station, he takes the train
to Nijmegen and there he takes a bus to the University… and of course the
other way around when the colleges are finished. (it takes one-and-a-half
hour from home to University where he studies “Artificial Intelligence”)
We have breakfast together, I have my coffee and the moment he waves
goodbye, I start my writing job.
Strange, how fast you can fall in a routine, isn’t it?
..
Friday already – time flies and the days are already shortening again…
This morning there even was a hint of Autumn in the air – oh how I love
those Months when the leaves turn yellow and spiders weave their webs.
Months in which everything turns back to normal. People go to work.
Children go to school. Days when in the morning you have to put on a jacket
but in the afternoon you can do without – nice temperatures and a low sun.
September, October… (*teehee* my birthday month!)
Why was I thinking of that?
Well – in September the online workshop “Let it Loose” will start!
With the vacation ending and children going back to school, momma’s will
have time to “let it loose” – so I thought.
I went through the lessons again this week and got enthusiastic all over,
so today I will show you sneaks of what to expect in that workshop.
But first, as promised, “skinny skinnies!”
..
is it Friday again already?
Yes… Oh. Ehm…
Do I have something to show you?
Well of course I do!!!
“Uprising” – do you know that song?
My son is a huge fan of the band “Muse” and he’s going to see them live
in Nijmegen this summer…
When I went with my son to a school event recently (there was music,
plays and speeches – the theme was “seven sins”) the evening started with
a “big opening” in which this song was played.
The way the “actors” played on this song gave me shivers down my spine.
Last week, a lot of resolutions and “words of the year” popped up
on a lot of blogs, and that got me wondering…
Should I make resolutions?
Should I pick a word of the year?
Will it help me focus?
You sure got me thinking and reflecting girls!
Yes, you read that right… this will be my last Lotus Paperie layout
as a design team member! My term ends today…
I was in the team from June ’till now, and I loved to make a “Lotus layout”
every week. I didn’t submit for another term though, ’cause I find it only
fair to give other scrapbookers a change to get in the team too.
Also – as you know – I’m moving on and am exited to dive into a
new adventure called “online workshops”…
The new Lotus Paperie DT was presented yesterday.
So here’s a big cheer for the new ladies: congratulations girls!
Go check the new DT out on the Lotus blog and leave them some love!
This week,
the challenge is
to work with
this sketch.
I definitely
wanted to
make a
“goodbye layout”
and this
sketch was
just perfect
for it!
So here it is….
waving goodbye…
