Good morning!!!
October is well on it’s way and this Friday the online workshop
Mixed Emotions will start!
Michelle got back from her annual honeymoon vacation yesterday,
we will chat today to fine-tune the last things and then we are all ready
and set to go… YEAY!!!
Wanna join the fun?
There’s still time to register!
And what did I do last week (besides working on the lessons)…
..
..
I made a card for a wedding couple!
Old friends got married yesterday.
They already live together for over 15 years and have a teenage daughter;
their marriage was more a formality, but still they deserve a nice card!
Congratulations Huub en Marlies!!!! (when is the big party? 😉 )

I made the background with spray ink and salt… still love the effect you get
from using salt on ink (or watercolour paint). I made a border using all kinds
of paper scraps. The figures are cut out from magazines and altered.
The man is actually compiled from two images. The top image (the man with
the flowers) and the bottom (the tuxedo and red trousers.)
He wore dark sunglasses, so I gave him new eyes and I drew a nice wedding
hat on his bold head! I cut the lady in pieces, gave her a new dress (there’s
some glitter in that paper, can you see it?) and I used music sheet paper to
dress her up with a little bolero jacket (that’s what it’s called in Holland…)
A big smile and curly hair (puffy paint) complete the bride.
..
While making the wedding card, I had the pages of my weekly art journal
right next to me… can you see the similarities? The eyes in the top corner?
Too big to use on the bride so they went on to this page. The puffy paint was
on the table, so I decorated the woman with it – and maybe there’s more
to be found in both the card and these pages.
Week 41
..
It’s a cold, rainy and grey morning in Holland.
It looks like a perfect day to stay home and craft!
I put on my comfy clothes this morning and that’s exactly
what I’m going to do!
Never mind the weather, enjoy your day!!!
Je t’embrasse.
