Prepare for another colourful lay out!!!
Scrapping out Loud came with this challenge:
“Split complimentary color challenge:
We have another color challenge for you all this week… but this time you are to use only 3 split complimentary colors from the color wheel on your layout….not sure what split complimentary means, check out the color wheel…”

I made you this example so you get an
idea what “split complimentary” means.
(I enlightened the 3 colours
I used on my lay out.)
I also used
Jessica’s sketch
on this one!
DUTCH DELIGHT!!!
Yep: colours.
Red, purple
and green;
what else
could it be
than my
favourite
flowers:
tulips!
(background
paper:
Pink Paislee)
Journaling in Dutch:
“I’m not a bright-coloured type myself. I’m more the subtle person, but I make one exception: tulips!
Red, yellow, purple – the more colourful the better! Spring only begins when there’s a bunch of tulips on the table.”
Title:
“Dutch” is in my own handwriting, painted with red acrylic paint.
The word “delight”
is stamped. (Bought
this stamp in Veghel last weekend, and I’m totally in love with it!)
I used green embroidery thread (feston-stitch) to make the frame and
I sprinkled lots of little
red buttons on the lay out
to complete the
“happy spring-look”.
This was my second colourful lay out in one week (remember the one I made
at “Scrap-a-Licious) and I’ve had it with bright colours for a while…
I will return to the old familiar earthbased tones this weekend (my next lay out might well be grey!!!)
