Hi there friends!
Just a quick post today…
It’s late in the afternoon already, and I’m longing for
some relax-time after a hard days work.
Hard work – yep, but FUN!
I’ added some finishing touches on the last lessons for the
Mixed Emotions workshop. The workshop started October 22
and it is a huge success. It makes me happy to see all the students
make marvelous pages and having fun with the assignments!
I published some of their work in the Public gallery so you go there
and take a look!
(By the way, you can still join the workshop.
Registration will be open until November 9.
Find all the info about it in the shop)
And what did I do last weekend?
..
..
Well, ofcourse – I finished my weekly art journal page!
Week 43
I had a bit of a “dip” last Thursday – when I made the basic for this page.
Does it show?
I’m glad it was just one day, but the sentences on the right refer to
how I tried to come out of it – I added those strips on Thursday.
I do hope the page for this week will come out more bright and happy,
but I think it will ’cause look what the mailman brought today!
..
Michelle is not only the most marvelous co-teacher to teach a workshop with,
she also is my dear blogfriend and she knows me through and through when it
comes to creating! She made a special package – just for me!
OHMYGOODNESS… look at that!!!
See those Graphic 45 “Halloween Alice” papers? It’s about 10 of them
(yes TEN!) I was drooling over those when I first saw them on the Internet,
but I didn’t have enough budget to buy me those.
And now I got 10 cute little pieces to play with!
The hard part is.. the backside is as beautiful as the front!
And SHARPIES… she send me two POSTER PAINT SHARPIES!!
I’ve been dying to try those, and I have holes in my shoes from going
from store to store in Holland… nope, they don’t sell those here.
I wanted to try one before I order a whole bunch of them online somewhere…
and now I can try them first!!! (In fact, I did already! They work marvelous!
I’m a Poster Paint Sharpie fan now!)
And have you seen that bright orange fabric?
My fingers itch to go play with that – a precious little and fun art journal
comes to mind…
And did you notice Elton John grin at the top of this photo (it’s such a
groovy image – and I remember Michelle made a layout based on this!)
And did you see the “true story magazine” – my weekly journal will be
dancing with retro images!
See the gaffer tape?
See… oh, I know you can!
Can you tell I’m in heaven?
THANK YOU MICHELLE, YOUR THE BEST!!!
..
Enough talk.
I’m off to have me a “aperitif” before I start cooking diner.
I’ll leave you with a link that Annemarie send me earlier today
(there’s another girl who knows me so well!)
If you like collage, go to Kohlage and be amazed!
See you on Friday!
Je t’embrasse!
