Yes, you read that right… this will be my last Lotus Paperie layout
as a design team member! My term ends today…
I was in the team from June ’till now, and I loved to make a “Lotus layout”
every week. I didn’t submit for another term though, ’cause I find it only
fair to give other scrapbookers a change to get in the team too.
Also – as you know – I’m moving on and am exited to dive into a
new adventure called “online workshops”…
The new Lotus Paperie DT was presented yesterday.
So here’s a big cheer for the new ladies: congratulations girls!
Go check the new DT out on the Lotus blog and leave them some love!
This week,
the challenge is
to work with
this sketch.
I definitely
wanted to
make a
“goodbye layout”
and this
sketch was
just perfect
for it!
So here it is….
waving goodbye…
The paper is all from the “Paris Nights Collection” from GCD-studio’s
(Funny thing is, my very first layout as a DT-member for Lotus Paperie
was made with the same paperline… I’m such a symbolic girl!!!)
There’s some lace, some embroidered flowers, some little “sixties” mirrors
with crochet-frame (bought those in a fabric & haberdashery store) and
hand stitching around the photo (white) and paper (black – which is hard
to see on this photo but it is there…)
Journaling:
“From June ’till
November 2009
I was part of the
Lotus Paperie
Design Team.
THANKS
Vanessa & Tania
for having me as
a Lotus girl.
I had a blast!”
I’m still working on my “decades mini album” for TAAFOMFT.
All the basic pages are done and it looks promising already, don’t you think?
This afternoon I will start from page one again; adding embellies,
finishing of the pages and write all the journaling (which will be A LOT!!!)
I also have to make the cover but it will be finished on time, that is
before the challenge due date (Sunday)
And so this is it.
My last “Lotus blogging” Friday!
It has become a ritual – I will have to think of something else to blog
on Fridays (or go in rehab 😉 )
Shall I make up another ritual – like a photo every Friday?
What do you think? Any wishes? Ideas?
For now, I wish you all a very nice, warm, cosy weekend and
I’ll be here again on Sunday with the finished “decades mini”.
See you then!
Je t’embrasse!
