And see my hedge? Yep, it’s brown.
\nMy dad and I trimmed it a Month ago.
\nWe cut off about 30 inch (75 cm) and ofcourse it was all brown underneath.
\nI know, I should have trimmed it earlier… but at least I have more space
\nin my little backyard now! The green will come back eventually.<\/p>\n

Week 38<\/strong><\/p>\n Thinkie<\/a> gave me that little card with the Tolkien ring. You already saw the boxes in my office in my former post.<\/p>\n I added one of the two ATC’s I made (I always make two. I also added an image of a bird. ..<\/p>\n ..<\/p>\n A blackbird sat on the ground, He sat still and looked at me ..<\/p>\n ..<\/p>\n I followed him with my eyes and Now you must know we have a little After a good look I discovered that, ..<\/p>\n OK. Wow. So we had two bunches of grapes!<\/p>\n And then my parents came. We saved the two remaining bunches and ate them before ..<\/p>\n I want to say just a few more things. And that’s it folks! Je t’embrasse.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n

\nThat’s because a blackbird surprised me last week.
\nI was busy hanging the laundry in the yard when I saw this.<\/p>\n(I found this photo on the Internet,\r\nI didn't have my camera with me when I saw him.)<\/pre>\n

\njust a few inches from where I
\nwas standing. At first I though
\nhe had a marble in his beak.
\nI talked to him that he shouldn’t
\nsteel marbles from little kids.
\nHe dropped the thing immediately.<\/p>\n
\nas if he wanted to say:
\n“Woman, mind your own business!”.
\nThen he picked up the marble
\n(I really thought it was a marble!)
\nand flew into our pergola.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
\n– you guessed it already –
\nI saw a bunch of grapes hanging
\nfrom the pergola.
\nWhat the …????<\/p>\n
\nscrub of a grape plant. I planted it next
\nto the backdoor, but it wouldn’t grow.
\nThe kiwi plant, however, sprout and
\ngrew and covered the whole pergola
\nsurface.<\/p>\n
\ndespite the few leaves at the bottom,
\nthe grape grew on top of the kiwi
\nand formed grapes. I hardly look up
\nso I never noticed it before.<\/p>\n
\nI told them the story and showed my mom “our two grapes”
\nShe looked a bit further though, and discovered that there had been
\nLOTS and LOTS of bunches!!! The blackbirds ate them all!!!
\nImagine all the nibbling they did right under my nose!
\n(Uuhmm, ABOVE my nose actually!)<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
\nthe blackbirds would. Ha!
\nI’ll be on the watch next year!<\/p>\n
