\nMy great great grandfather.
\n(Yep, that’s two times “great” and not a typing error)
\nHe sat there in his chair and watched the world go by…<\/p>\n

And me?
\nI’m right in the middle with my scrap paper\u00a0& lace\u00a0& paint & photographs\u00a0
\n& emballisments\u00a0& stickers,
\nand I play!
\nI played a lot this weekend.
\nGot my mojo runnin’ girls!<\/p>\n

So here’s my second post this weekend, including a new lay out.

I created this lay out\u00a0for the new challenge at Scrapping out Loud:<\/p>\n

“This week’s challenge: SCRAP YOUR STASH! With the CHA last week and all the new products soon to hit our scrapbooking stores we want you to make room for the new stuff so dig into your stash and use your old products…whatever that may be! It has to be at least 6 months old…”<\/em><\/p>\n

Well, that wasn’t hard to do! I have tons of old stuff all around the house.
\nI don’t buy much new stuff either (crisis all over the world isn’t it) and
\non top of that: there isn’t a scrapbook store in the town I live in!
\n(I find my stuff mostly in the hobby store, they do have scrap goodies
\nbut not the assortment a scrapbook store has I guess…)<\/p>\n

Anyway, get on with it. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

For this challenge I\u00a0used a real old photo I scanned. (You wanted old stuff ladies? Well, you’re gonna GET old stuff then!) Meet my great great grandfather
\nJan Maljers.
\n(1845 – 1941)<\/p>\n

On this photo he’s one old dude, and he just seems to sit there…\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n…but when you take
\na closer look,
\nhe smiles at you!
\nIn his hand
\nhe\u00a0holds a pipe
\nand he has that
\ntwinkle in his eye…<\/p>\n

he was very much alive still!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\nFor the background I used plain brown paper\u00a0which I folded
\nand distressed using sandpaper.
\nI made a tear like I saw on a blog Cookie’s Corner<\/a> and although it looks quite different than hers, it works real well on this lay out!<\/p>\n
