Me<\/strong>: “Oh, but that’s not finished yet.
\nI’m just cutting squares to glue them in a grid.”<\/p>\n

M<\/strong>: “Why in a grid? It looks\u00a0great this way.”<\/p>\n

Me<\/strong>: “Yeah, now that you mention it…
\nbut uhhmmm, the challenge at “Scrapping out Loud” was:
\n“This week we want you to get out those rulers and get measuring,
\nbecause we want to see you use the grid technique to create a LO!”<\/em><\/p>\n

M<\/strong>: “But\u00a0you’re measuring already, and you ARE using a\u00a0grid, aren’t you.
\nYou just glue them\u00a0outside the grid, they didn’t say it had to be all square,
\ndid they?”<\/p>\n

Me<\/strong>: “No………”<\/p>\n

M<\/strong>: “Well then, look at it!
\nBut it’s your lay out after all…. you don’t have to listen to me.”<\/p>\n

I looked at it.
\nI thought about it.
\nAnd I did it!
\nI glued the squares just as it lay there, random.<\/p>\n

\nso I cut 84 little squares to fill the background\u00a0grid\u00a0
\n(I truly did – wanna count?)<\/p>\n

Friday morning and the sun is shining again.
\nYesterday, I spend\u00a0 in the garden getting a tan and reading
\n“Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”.
\nFinished it too (reading the introduction and short biography in English took me more time than the story itself…) and\u00a0ideas for lay outs are rushing through my brain! Maybe this weekend I start\u00a0reading “Through the Looking Glass”
\nas well, but I\u00a0want to refresh my memory about the game of chess first before
\nI start on that. Once, someone taught me how to play chess, but that’s a\u00a0long time ago and I don’t even remember the moves of the different chess-pieces anymore.\u00a0In my opinion, to understand the story I have to know at least that! (Yep, I’m more of “studying” the story. Always the serious approach – that’s me…)<\/p>\n

And for all you sweeties who are following the “family troubles”,
\na little update about Lisa:
\nThe surgery on her elbow went well. She’s still on artificial respiration though… They\u00a0took the tubes\u00a0out at first, but it turned out that she cannot breath on her own yet because of the swelling and damage in her throat. She\u00a0will be\u00a0kept asleep\/in coma all through the weekend now, to give her throat the opportunity to heal. They may try again after the weekend.<\/p>\n

And that\u00a0weekend\u00a0is beginning to start\u00a0now! I don’t have plans yet…
\nMaybe read, maybe scrap… but you’ll hear from me again next week.
