From now on, Friday is “Lotus day”!!!
\nMy term as a Design Team member starts\u00a0today with challenge #127
\n– which is now up on the Lotus Paperie blog<\/a> – and it’s a fun one:<\/p>\n

The challenge this week is to use FELT<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

I hope it inspires you to hop on over to Lotus Paperie
\nand play along with us this week! Here’s what I made…<\/p>\n

The\u00a0paper is from the “Paris Nights Collection” (designed by Nina Higgins for GCD studios.) I fell in love with this collection as soon as I laid my eyes on it! The\u00a0sheet I used is called “Versailles” and it has a Linen Texture Finish…<\/p>\n

I used a “French shabby chic”\u00a0photo of myself to\u00a0go with the paper.
\nI edited the photo in\u00a0Photoshop.
\nThe title\/journaling is also French and means “Come dance with me cheek to cheek” (that’s a bit of a “free translation” but sounds a lot better than what it really says: “Come dance, eyes against breasts” – how on earth does that look like?)<\/p>\n

\nHere’s the felt!!!
\nIt took\u00a0quite some
\ntime\u00a0to make\u00a0this
\nout of felt (using
\nthe real\u00a0hat as an
\nexample) but it was
\nsuch fun to do! It
\nhas two layers, and
\nthe “light effect (on
\ntop and at its seam)
\nwhere made using
\nwhite stazon ink.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\njust like the real hat!<\/p>\n

Since I started this blog, I made a lot of friends on the Internet and I put each and every name in my blog roll (on the right side of my blog)\u00a0

Friday… not only “Lotus day” but also the start of the weekend, YEAH!
\nMy parents come visit me this afternoon – they stop by on their way home from their vacation in France – and I’m looking forward to an evening\u00a0filled with\u00a0nice food (I know, ’cause I already did the grocerie-shopping) and drinks and laughter! That’s some way to start the weekend!!!
\nA weekend in which I planned a lot of scrapping also\u00a0– and I mean making lay outs I will actually be able to publish and show you! Wishing you all a nice weekend too, and be sure to visit me again after that to see what\u00a0I created…\u00a0
