I don’t have much to say today.
\nSummerholidays\u00a0are\u00a0easy going…<\/p>\n

A little bit of housekeeping.
\nA little bit of creating and
\na lot of TV –\u00a0watching “le Tour de France”<\/a><\/p>\n

So I’m gonna show you some creativeness from last week,
\nand\u00a0after that, sink down\u00a0on the couch again.<\/p>\n

Here’s another page for my Leonard Cohen Art Journal.
\nA bit of a dark, depressive and fatalistic one…
\nNot that I feel this way myself, but I felt the song “Closing Time<\/a>”
\nhad to go with such an image.<\/p>\n

I used a lot of paper in layers:\u00a0dictionary pages, tissue paper,
\nmagazine adds, photo’s from an old “history”\u00a0magazine
\n(policemen shooting at a demonstration)<\/p>\n

Stamped title, spray ink, handwritten lyrics (with black sharpie)
\nand a lot (and I mean A LOT) of heavy\u00a0gel medium.<\/p>\n

\na magazine:
\nbright lights
\nin the night.<\/p>\n

\nI cut the silhouettes
\nout of a left over
\npiece of glossy
\nphoto paper
\n(with spray ink
\non it)\u00a0from a
\nformer project.<\/p>\n

Wrinkled tissue
\npaper (left) with
\nspray ink and
\ngel medium.<\/p>\n

My disintegration project is coming on strong!
\nI moved it from underneath my pergola into the\u00a0free space
\n(it started to rain and I noticed the bundle had too much shelter
\nhanging under the pergola)<\/p>\n

\nsome rain showers
\nwent over it
\nand the bundle
\nstarted to
\ncrumble down.<\/p>\n

\nI always have to take
\npictures from the side.<\/p>\n

I can look at this
\nfor hours.<\/p>\n

It sucked a lot
\nof rain the last
\ndays, and the sun
\nis burning it
\nagain today…<\/p>\n

The teabag
\nisn’t doing much
\nbut I love the way
\nthe whole thing
\nis hanging there…<\/p>\n

Just like in

Actually: my reading glasses.<\/p>\n

I wear glasses since 1984 (tried contact lenses for a few years,
\nbut that didn’t work for me)
\nA few years ago\u00a0I found sunglasses that perfectly fit OVER my glasses
\n(that’s why they’re so BIG! You can see a pic of me wearing those shades
\nwhen you go to “About”… so now you all know\u00a0I wear my\u00a0normal glasses
\nunder these shades!) and since a few months I need reading glasses to read
\nthe morning paper and books… “Oh, the\u00a0infirmities of old age”…<\/p>\n

And now I’m off, watch today’s trail in the Tour le France…
\nNo time for bloghopping\u00a0if\u00a0I wanna see Contador and Lance Armstrong finish –
