One Little Word<\/a> came with the word “Why”
\nI haven’t played OLW in ages, but I liked this word
\nand decided to give it a go this time.<\/p>\n

I don’t know how you call this in other countries, but here in Holland
\nevery child around 2-and-a-half to 3 years old goes through
\nthe “Waarom-fase” (“Why-phase”)
\nIf you have kids, you probably know how irritating it can be
\nwhen\u00a0your child keeps on asking “why….” all day long.
\nEvery mum has the intention to “always take my kids serious
\nand answer their questions” –
\nthat is untill\u00a0the kids\u00a0reach that certain age… 2-and-a-half!\u00a0
\nThen it starts.
\nAnd in the end, every mum finds herself saying:
\n“DAAROM” (BECAUSE!)<\/p>\n

I could have used a photo of my son of course, but this pic of myself
\nat the age of 3 was too cute to resist…
\nI’m sure I asked “why”\u00a0at the\u00a0exact moment the photo was taken!<\/p>\n

– “Mum, I wanna go to daddy”
\n– “That’s not possible hun, daddy’s at sea”
\n– “Why?”
\n– “He’s on the boat, catching fish”
\n– “Whyhyy?”
\n– “To sell the fish later and earn some money”
\n– “Why mummy”?”
\n– “That’s his work, darling”
\n– “Why?”
\n– “Daddy’s a fisherman, and with the money he earns we can buy groceries”
\n– “Why?”
\n– “Because we gotta eat too”

\n– “Otherwise you would become ill, girlie”
\n– “But why?”
\n– “Because!”<\/span><\/p>\n

I used purple (see that Dani\u00eblle?!) spray ink for a change
\n(“Egg plant” – Tim Holtz Ranger color wash)\u00a0
\nThe illustration in the top right corner is from an old children’s book.<\/p>\n

Last week, I also made a card using the technique Scrapping out LOUD!\u00a0<\/a>
\ncame up with\u00a0for their challenge:\u00a0paper casting.
\nSuch a simple and fun technique!
\nI wanted to write a letter to a friend, and made a “card” (or minibook,
\nas you like) from it.<\/p>\n

\n– Left over pieces of fibre-paper\u00a0
\n– Old piece of\u00a0brown paper
\n– Piece of a dictionary page (“friend”)
\n– Stamps
\n– Toilet paper (for paper casting)
\n–\u00a0Spray ink.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And today I took another photo of my bundle for the “disintegration project”\u00a0<\/p>\n

\nCan you tell it rained a lot
\nthese past days?<\/p>\n

I don’t know how much longer
\nthis bundle will hold,
\nbut I like seeing it change
\nand disintegrate…
\nso I leave it just there
\nto see what becomes of it!<\/p>\n

\nwhich got me enthusiastic – so I joined as a “collaborator”.
