On my blogiversary last Wednesday (btw; if you haven’t seen my post on that

day, you can check it out here. I should if I were you – there are giveaways!!!)

I made the last photo’s of my “disintegration project” while it hung outside.

After that, I took it down and brought it inside to make some more photo’s

and let it dry… Keep on reading this post ’cause I show you the pictures,

and you will understand why I gave this blogpost the title “gorgeous paper”…

this sketch

to work with

this week!

I browsed through

my photostock

for quite some

time to find the

photo’s to go with

this sketch until

I came across a

serie I made in

2008…

It is well known by now that my roots, and my heart, lay in Zeeland

(the province I was born and raised) to be more exact – on the

“Island Walcheren” (which is actually a peninsula).

The people used to dress in regional costumes and – although I’m not

thát old – I remember elderly men and women still dressed in this clothes

when I was young! It’s only since a few years that it expires, but in the

Summertime there are folkloristic festivities (mainly for the tourist) and

you can see a lot of people dressed in the old costumes again.

In the summer of 2008 I took a lot of photo’s of different people dressed

in this “Walchers’ costume” and I used those pictures on this layout.

NOTE: I don’t know all these people. If you recognize yourself

(or somebody you know) on a photo and have any problems with

this layout being published, please send me an e-mail!
