Remember my last blogpost?
\nI wrote about all those Ning-communities starting on the Internet lately.
\nA few hours after I wrote that post last Friday I received an e-mail from
\nRachel, the founder of the “A Year in the Life of an Art Journal” group.
\nHere is what she wrote:<\/p>\n

“I just recently found out that ning will start charging all users who
\nuse the FREE networks, and so we will be moving. I am working to get
\nall my ning groups moved to Facebook, I’m sorry for this inconvenience…”<\/em><\/p>\n

So no more ning-groups…<\/p>\n

WAIT<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

…did I read that correctly?<\/p>\n

Facebook??!!!<\/p>\n

I stayed away from facebook.<\/p>\n

I never wanted to join.
\nI have enough communities and blogs to visit already.
\nI don’t need more “friends” and chatting…
\nI don’t have the time.<\/p>\n

BUT…<\/p>\n

Well. I gave in.
\nI don’t want to loose my “Art Journal group”<\/p>\n

So now I’m on facebook.
\n*sigh*<\/p>\n

…<\/p>\n

The challenge for “AYITLOAAJ” was “move” this time.
\nA coincidence?
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nI don’t like moving.
\nPhysically that is.<\/p>\n

But when it comes
\nto art
\nI like to move.
\nTo be moved.
\nTo try.
\nTo learn.
\nTo stretch.
\nTo find out.
\nTo make mistakes.
\nTo experience.
\nTo be surprised.
\nTo be pushed.<\/p>\n

I embraced the word “move” and made this layout last weekend!<\/p>\n

It’s a rather simple layout.
\nI used plain black cardstock. Sassafras paper. (I hung on to this particular
\npiece of paper for years. Why is it so hard and even scary to actually USE
\nthe paper we love?!) A white marker for the journaling and a blue Copic
\nmarker to enlighten some words. The image is cut out from a magazine.<\/p>\n

Journaling:
\n“When it comes to art I like to move out of my comfort zone.
\nI can only grow if I’m willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable
\nwhen I try something new.”<\/span><\/p>\n

(It’s a quote by Brian Tracy but I changed it a bit to make it mine)<\/p>\n

I also started an art journal page for my Leonard Cohen Art Journal,
\nbut it’s not finished yet. The page will be done by Friday though…
\nI’ll show you then. Expect another zentangling page too, ’cause
\nI picked up the “art of doodling” again in the evenings!<\/p>\n

..<\/p>\n

And that’s it for today.
\nThe sun is shining, the planes are flying and I’m gonna visit some
\nblogs today (it’s been a while) and maybe work some more.
\nOr go for a walk – start moving!
