Saw it on Patty’s blog: “Magpie’s Nest”

“repost your 10th blog post”

Sounded like fun.

So I went back to December 2008

and WOWH…now THAT’S appropriate to repost!

(since my son goes to the University this year and all..)

Here it is:

..

CHICAGO – DIALOGUE

I live with two men in the house. One was born in the 1950’s and one was born in 1992… but they both love the music of the band Chicago. Not the latest albums, but the music the band used to play in the seventies. My son especially loves the song “Dialogue”, and so I made a layout about that song (with my son in the leading role.)

""

I used the little

picture my son

uses as “avatar”

on the internet

when he writes

comments on

blogs, and the

picture of the

“anonymus”

my blog shows

when comments

don’t come with

an avatar.

..

""

Details

Although the lyrics

of this song were

written in the

seventies,

the text still has

a great topical value!

I realize the text is

hardly readable on

the scan (and the

layout is all about

the lyrics!) so hereby

I give you the text…

..

Dialogue

""

Are you optimistic ’bout the way things are going?

..

""

No, I never ever think of it at all

..

""

Don’t you ever worry when you see what’s going down?

..

""

No, I try to mind my business, that is, no business at all

..

""

When it’s time to function as a feeling human being

Will your Bachelor of Arts help you get by?

..

""

I hope to study further, a few more years or so

I also hope to keep a steady high

..

""

Will you try to change things, use the power that you have,

the power of a million new ideas?

..

""

What is this power you speak of and this need for things to change?

I always thought that everything was fine

..

""

Don’t you feel repression just closing in around?

..

""

No, the campus here is very, very free

..

""

Don’t it make you angry the way war is dragging on?

..

""

Well, I hope the President knows what he’s into, I don’t know

..

""

Don’t you ever see the starvation in the city where you live

All the needless hunger all the needless pain?

..

""

I haven’t been there lately, the country is so fine

But my neighbours don’t seem hungry ’cause they haven’t got the time

..

""Thank you for the talk, you know you really eased my mind

I was troubled by the shapes of things to come

..

""

Well, if you had my outlook your feelings would be numb

You’d always think that everything was fine

..

And now you want to here the song also, I presume?

The song my son loves… Here it is!

I hope you liked my “Replay”!

What did you blog about in your 10th post?
