YEEEEAAAAHHHH!
You found my blog on the new address!!!
It looks very professional to have my own “maritscrapworld” domain,
don’t you think? I’m a lucky girl to have a lover who put it all together for me!
(Thanks a lot dear – also, on forehand, thanks for all the technical community-
site-web-stuff that you installed and will have to explain to me in the near
future and all the support you are giving… I love you!)
Next, I do want to apologize neglecting all of you in the past week…
I did had my reasons, you know that, but now that things are settling down
I promise I will catch up with all your blogs in the coming week.
There’s another reason I wasn’t around much…
I spend two days with my parents in Zeeland!
It’s a two hour drive, and to you who think Holland is a beautiful country:
let me show you something else for a change…
This is a photo
I took on the way
to Zeeland.
All the way from
my place to
my parents,
I see this….
Two hours,
this panorama =
BOOOOORING!
(but being there
is worth the drive!)
On to an image less boring now (I hope)
I told you in my last post that I was working on an art journal page…
Here it is!
I made this with the last Scrapping Our LOUD! challenge in the back of my
mind, which was “to use oversized embellishments and/or alphas on your
page…. the bigger, the better!”
The background is an image of a sunset & clouds… you can still see it
in the silhouette of the lady. I painted and sprayed and messed around with
gel medium a lot… the quotation marks is a stamp and I stamped with paint
and my BIG alpha’s the word BIG.
The quote is by Donald Trump
“If you are going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big”
I find it very appropriate to use this quote right now, with all the BIG plans
that are going to be realized… sometimes I get the shivers when I think of
it all… can I do this? Will there be people interested in my workshops?
Will they actually be willing to pay something for it? Who am I to….
OH, you know! Woman’s insecurety and doubts and feeling small…
I try to think of this quote then to remind myself:
“Why not? Why shouldn’t I do it. At least I try!!!”

Detail
The paint is
deep purple
and stamping
with my foam
alpha’s gave
such a beautiful
texture!
I plan to work in my art journal some more this week – it gives me a feeling
of “freedom” I don’t have that much when I work on a layout – which is odd
’cause I can do the same things on a 12 x 12 layout, don’t I?
But it just doesn’t feel the same. I hope to reach the point where the feeling is
similar, no matter which paper or size I work on… and I think I’m halfway
there, but I have to hold on and keep going and keep creating and failing and
standing up again… it’s all part of the process!
But that’s what’s creating is all about! I love it all!
Even the failures…
OK now, before I get too philosophical here… the week has begun and grocery
shopping is on the list (and buying new permanent markers… I squeezed the
last ink out of my last pen writing the “Trump quote”)
And remember, I will be stopping by your blogs this week!
That’s a promise!
Je t’embrasse!
