Prepare for a
Quirky Dutch Summer!

Last Summer a lot of people joined me at my ‘Creative Summer Camp’
(an online ‘workshop-like’ event on my website) and we had a lot of fun
in our ‘virtual tents. I had the intention to ‘build’ a creative tent camp
again this year, but due to all the work for the magazine I didn’t have the
time to prepare such a workshop…

but…

… you don’t have to spend the Summer without your ‘Camp Leader.’
I looked up my whistle ;) and came up with this idea:

As of June 12, there will be an inspirational post on my blog every Tuesday
this Summer. This will go on for 10 weeks – posts handling a theme or
a technique or…  let’s say: ‘something’ that can be used as an inspiration
to get your creative juices flowing. I will think of fun, small challenges to
go with it, and you will probably have the possibility to leave your link
with each post when you played along.

Vanaf 12 juni zal er elke dinsdag op mijn blog een inspirerende post
verschijnen. De post kan in het teken staan van een thema, een techniekje
of, of… laten we zeggen: iedere dinsdag is het uitgangspunt IETS dat zal
inspireren om zelf creatief aan de slag te gaan. De posts zullen vergezeld
gaan van kleine opdrachtjes of ‘challenges’ en er zal waarschijnlijk ook een
mogelijkheid komen om je link achter te laten als je die week hebt meegespeeld

It will be like Dutch Summers usually are: some days are hot.
Some are cold. One day you are on the beach, next day you put on
a cardigan and sip tea to stay warm. Our climate here is not very stable.
‘Whimsical’ is the word for it.
Capricious.
Faddy.
Quirky.

That’s what these ‘inspiration posts’ will be.
That’s what this Summer will be!

De posts zullen zijn zoals de Nederlandse zomers: de ene dag is het warm,
de volgende dag zakt de temperatuur. De ene dag zit je op het strand,
de andere dag is het er weer naar om een vest aan te trekken en een pot
thee te zetten. Jullie weten allemaal hoe grillig onze zomers kunnen zijn -
en dat is ook het woord voor deze serie blogposts: Grillig.
Veelzijdig.
Eigenzinnig.
Onberekenbaar.
Wispelturig.
Vlinderachtig.

Dat is wat deze ‘ inspiratie’ posts ook zullen zijn.
Dat is wat deze zomer zal worden!

Zoals jullie kunnen zien is deze post ook in het Nederlands
geschreven. Dat zal, gedurende de zomer, elke dinsdag het

Engelse taal zijn de gelegenheid krijgen mee te spelen.
