A simple ballpoint pen

February 28, 2012 By Marit 10 Comments

Inspired by the art I viewed on the exhibition in Amsterdam (see former post)
I did a lot of doodling and writing with a simple ballpoint pen last weekend.

I had the pen in my hands anyway, ’cause I started to listen back to the tape
of the interview I had with a copyright lawyer last week  and made notes to
use in a FEATURING article… with the pen in my hand I stepped from the
notes to my weekly ‘Chronicles’ page.

..

The Chronicles of Marit 2012 – Week 8

(Size: 24,5 x 49 cm – 9.65 x 14.86 inch)

I already painted the background with olive green acrylic paint
earlier in the week. I glued some photos of my ‘Perfect day’ on to the
pages and used a blue ballpoint pen to doodle and write around it.
The pocket holds a photo of the Amsterdam train station and on the
other side there’s a photo of the interview and more text.

Here’s the right page with the pocket lifted.

I’m awfully busy this week – writing, answering emails and finishing texts for
the FEATURING website. There will be some additions on the site real soon
(this week, I hope.) If you subscribed to the newsletter (via ‘stay informed’)
you will be notified when additions get online. I probably will say something
about it on my blog too, so if you are a follower of this blog, there’s no change
you miss it.

Crocuses come peeping out of the soil in the front yard and it’s almost March.
Spring is not far away… yay! I wish you all a nice and sunny week. Enjoy!

Spring is quite far away here in Sweden, but your lovely green inspires and makes me want to paint today. Thanks Marit!

OOOO! I read “copyright lawyer” and my ears perked up. I’m having a huge ethical dilemma about using Pinterest to keep track of my favorite artists since I feel it steals their copyright- I’m not talking about the sharing of the photo but the user’s agreement that states they have exclusive image rights in perpetuity- I can’t believe they are getting away with that! I would LOVE to hear a lawyer’s take on that issue! Will be keeping a look out for Featuring Mag! Also- I love the green paint in combination with the cros hatched purple border- great combo.

Wat een heerlijk, lente-achtig kleurtje, dat groen van je Chronicles-pagina!
Succes met je werkzaamheden voor de FEATURING site!

Love your pages and how you always find ways to make bits and pieces from whatever is at hand work together so well.
We got 6 inches (about 15 cm) of snow today. It was our first storm of the new year which is very, very unusual for New England. It was kind of beautiful, especially since real spring is only three weeks away !
    Enjoy the greening !
    Much Love !
