Today is an ‘extra’ day because it is a leap year… so, what are you going to do on this special day? Something nice? Or is it just a Monday like every other Monday? When I was a child, I thought it must be awesome to be born on February 29 but now I don’t think that anymore… to be born on a day that is not there most of the years must be odd, like you don’t exist for real or only once in four years. How would you find it? (Or maybe you ARE born on this date… how do you feel about it?)
OK, enough with the philosophical chatter… let’s spend this day doing something creative – I plan to do just that (oh, and a trip to the curtain-store this afternoon because we bought roller blinds last weekend and one of them is too short.) At the moment I’m working on Week 8 in my “Chronicles” art journal and it’s time to show you some older spreads.

See the stamped date on week 6? I hand carved a new alphabet and I really like these bold letters! I didn’t have enough erasers to carve the alphabet so I went to the store to buy a bunch (for the Dutchies: Action. They sell erasers for 28 cents.) I bought 25 erasers and you must have seen the face of the girl/cashier when my beloved said “Yes, she makes a lot of spelling-mistakes you know…” HA!

Ook jammer dat ik me niet gerealiseerd heb dat maandag echt een EXTRA dag was.
Wat heb ik toen gedaan…….in de tuin gewerkt omdat het een prachtige dag was!!!
