I skipped last week’s deskhop because my desk was really much too clean to show… it must get boring to see my clean and empty desk. Today, there’s more on it and it has been there since Sunday. That is so NOT me, to leave my stuff there for two days! Well, I got occupied with my video-game, haha, really… I have an old Nintendo 64 device and I decided to start up and play an old game (for the curious ones among you: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time) I have been running around (on the screen that is) visiting temples, defeating monsters and collecting medallions ever since 🙂
However, I will spend today in my atelier, finishing that spread I am working on. And there’s more on my desk that needs a bit of attention (the Lettering book, for example.) Have a look yourself.
The Chronicles journal I bound for this year (see this post) is rather large (29,7 x 42 cm – 11.6 x 16.5 inch) and I am not used to working on weekly spreads that are that large. Last year, my Chronicles journal was a lot smaller. I usually took notes during the week and created a spread in one session at the end of the week. But these pages are just too large to finish in one session…
I did finish all the prompts for The Documented Life Project 2015 and bound them into a journal. Here’s the pages I made with prompt #50 and #51
December 12
December Theme: Storytelling with the Written Word
Art Challenge: Using Quotes & Lyrics as Storytelling
Journal Prompt: “One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can’t utter.” – James Earl Jones
This page came together pretty quick. I found the image of a model, putting make-up (gold powder) on her face, in a magazine and the song Woodstock came to mind (“We Are Stardust, We Are Golden…“) I just added a bit of golden paint and wrote part of the lyrics at the edges.

December Theme: Storytelling with the Written Word
Art Challenge: Hidden Journaling
Journal Prompt: The greatest gift I can give myself…
This page took a little longer to create… the journaling is not really ‘hidden’ but when you write the text in different angles on top of each other, it’s not readable either. That’s ‘hidden’ too, isn’t it?
So, that’s it for today. I am going to hop on over to the other desks (see the woyww bloghop list over at our hostess Julia) to see what all the other participants are working on. Thanks for your visit!
Hi Marit, long time no see! Glad to see you’ve still been creating. Love your journal pages, and yes I would say that journaling is definitely hidden! Have a creative week. Hugs MMx #49
Legend of Zelda…that’s a blast from the past!! Hope you’ve been having fun. I like the sound of a larger journal, it must make you have to think differently how you lay things out, for example. It’s good to do things out of our comfort zone sometimes!

Well done for finishing DLP! I gave up after week 10 – not because I didn’t like it, but because I didn’t have enough time and decided to concentrate in LifeBook instead. Love your two last pages – great use of magazine images! Will check out your Chronicles! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #47
What lovely pages! I love both of them.
You are so good having finished all those things and bound them etc.
I did smile at your getting sidetracked by an old video game. I do things like that too. I have a Nintendo DS
Thanks for visiting already,
Have a good week,
Liscawhich I no longer use, but occasionally I will charge it and play something.
Well, that certainly looks like a busy desk.
Afraid my games amount to those Angry Birds on my iPad but they keep me happy.
Hugs, Net 3 xx
Beautiful pages! I love how everything on your desk is labelled.
Have a great week

Lovely pages, both of them.
My children forbade me from ever playing video games many, many years ago. In fact, I tried recently, and when I asked why “my guy” was running the wrong direction, the youngest son pointed out I was holding the controller upside down.
True story.
Happy woyww to you, Marit!

Your computer game sounds just like the sort my hubby plays all the time, you’d get on well!!
Love your pages, they are always so full of texture and interest.
Thanks for stopping by earlier. It’s been a lovely sunny day here but still cold. The snow has long since disappeared though.
Have a good week
Hugs Lisa x#14.
I love all your labels and arrows. It feels like a personal guided tour haha.
I’ve just come up for air from my clearing and organising m
See you next week

Hurrah! At long last I have found another ‘desker’ that has a clean and tidy desk philosophy! I was beginning to wonder if I was the only annoyingly tidy one 🙂
I love your space by the window, the natural light must be wonderful.

PS. And your artwork is pretty awesome too!
Hi Marit, sounds like we have both been doing a bit of journaling. I love your pages and the way you used the images. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy crafty woyww, Angela x 15
fabulous pages, i especially like the gold one. Have fun revisiting your youth with playing video games. Vicky#66
It’s always fun to see what’s on your desk Marit! That is a big Chronicles book you’ve got going this year! That is so cool that you finished all of the Documented Life Prompts! I fell off after about four prompts. This year I will do better. LOVE your journal pages! I especially love those shapes on the last one where you did the zentangly lines. So cool!
Beautiful art work and oh how I want on of the mini drawer chests to store all my extra stash away that way my space would even have more room and keep tidy hugs Nikki 8
LOVE Zelda (I fondly remember my ZX Spectrum!).
Some lovely pieces on show too
