Goodmorning lovelies – how’s life going? I didn’t blog all week ’cause I had a lot of other fun activities going on – but I dived into my atelier after the weekend and went wild with images, glue, paint and markers. Now you may think my desk shows that wildness but no… you will not be surprised to hear I kept my desk neat. Ha – yep, that’s me, the ‘neat artist.’ However, the evidence of my hard work is in my journals. Take a look.
The art journal spread in the middle of my desk is not finished yet. For the ones who saw the calendar I bought last week (it was on my desk-photo I published in my former blogpost) – I used a photo from the calendar on the page (the lady on a bed on the left.)
The spread I made for week 9 in my Chronicles art journal (on the left table) is finished, but I haven’t showed the former week pages yet so I will publish it later. Instead, I show you what I created for week 7.
The ‘week journaling’ is on a card inside the pocket and I used a quote from Ludwig Wittgenstein to go with the horse on the page: “I sit astride life like a bad rider on a horse.” (By the way, it’s only half of the quote. The complete sentence is: “I sit astride life like a bad rider on a horse. I only owe it to the horse’s good nature that I am not thrown off at this very moment.”
Well… I am still riding and intend to stay on the horse: hence this!

Furthermore, you will learn art techniques like working with collages, paint, colors, gesso and gel medium. |
Yep, I’m teaching this online workshop in April & May and I’m looking forward to it!
This is what former students had to say about Let it Loose:
“I had such a wonderful time with this workshop. I learned so much. I am still using all that I learned everywhere I go! Marit is a wonderful teacher, and if she is offering this workshop again, I highly recommend it!!” ~ Danielle
“I’ve just started a super cool art journal class with Marit – I wish I’d had teachers like her in school! When you visit her blog, check out her work – wow! And if you have the chance to take a class with her – do it! You won’t regret it.” ~ Anne
“Let it Loose has been such a fun and inspiring class! I highly recommend it – whether you have never tried art journaling, or you’ve been doing it for awhile. The lessons are fun and easy to follow, open enough for interpreting in your own style, and the atmosphere is super supportive!” ~ Michelle
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I really appreciate it and hope to visit as much woyww-posts as I possibly can this week so: see you! Have a sunny, fun and creative week.
You have certainly been one busy lady! Well done.

you’re the prove that creating and being tidy can go together. I can’t however.Succes with the workshop, seems fabulous to me being able to give workshops. Happy WOYWW from Vicky#8
What a fun page, Marit! I’ve worked out that paard means horse – just based on some of the German I know. Lovely feedback from your students! Have fun teaching your art class! zsuzsa #47

love your desk today!! great journal page. Helen #21
Good luck with the workshop. The journals look great. Your desk is so neatly organised – I don’t think mine has ever quite looked that way. Perhaps that’s why I can never find anything!

Love the quote (the part you used anyway) and the colors! Your workplace looks so relaxing! My workdesk is the kitchentable, which looks like a complete mess when I start, but I’m proud to say that it still fits into two (big) shoeboxes at the end of the evening. Oh, and two shelves of paint and glue… And the tray of crayons and colored pens I steal from my daughters cupboard. And the paintbrushes I’ve stowed away in the pantry next to the cookiejar for lack of space. Hmmm, maybe I need an atelier like you 😉
Bedank voor je lieve reactie op mijn blog! Je pagina ziet er heel leuk uit!
Groetjes, Sofie
Yes, you are so tidy! I like your page with the horse, and also the quote of course.
Sorry I´m late. I had my new computer today and I have been fiddling about with that but now I have everything going. (I am typing this on my new keyboard, which is Spanish, so I am constantly looking for things that are in a different place). I still have to sort out the printer and some speakers, but the system works!
Have a great week and thanks for visiting me earlier.

Your journal is looking good and that saying is funny … nobody wants to get turfed by a horse and it’s amazing how low our stash of cards gets that you might have to buy one YIKES lol
I love how neat your space is 🙂 hugs Nikki 3
Your journal pages are amazing but I love that quote about riding the horse so much! I hadn’t heard that one before but it seems to fit my life quit well at the moment. Thanks for sharing it ?

You are always so busy, Marit! But your journal pages are so inspiring and lovely to look at. I love how you note your desk photo. I always have to pop it out larger so I can snoop better. LOL Creative Blessings! Kelly #61
