Hi-hi, goodmorning sweeties, or better ‘good afternoon’ ’cause I start typing this a few minutes before noon and I guess when I hit the publish button, it will be after lunch. Anyway, how are you doing? I hope all my woyww-desk-friends are still healthy and alive and kickin’… hope to check you all out later this week.
My desk today don’t show much creativity but it IS clean, can you see how it shines? Yup, I cleaned the table!
There’s a printed ‘list’ on my desk. I am in the middle posting a 30-day song challenge on Facebook. I post this image every evening…
… and tell everyone my ‘choise of that day’ (and the reason why.) My Facebook friends do the same, and it’s a lot of fun! (This evening we will come to day/question #11) If you are on Facebook and want to join in, HERE is where you can find me/it. Back to the paper on my desk: I printed the questions so I can look ahead and think about my songs…
I spend last weeks in isolation, I stayed inside and on our balcony only… I’m glad to have my atelier to play in (and so I did! That’s why the desk needed a good clean!) However, yesterday I went for a little walk with my beloved – in the Netherlands we are still allowed to go outside for a walk although there are ‘rules’. There were more people out than I thought there would be and lots of people, especially in the town center, didn’t keep the right distance… we slalomed the last part of our route back home and I will avoid the city center next time I go outside! I know my fellow deskers are smart but still I want to shout it out again: KEEP YOUR DISTANCE PLEASE!
Now that I have time to create, I’m all up to date with my Chronicles art journal. Here’s the latest spreads:
The Chronicles of Marit – Week 15
The quote says: For the artist soul, isolation often is like a wood filled with birdsong (Louis Couperus)
The Chronicles of Marit – Week 16
As I thought… it’s afternoon now. I hope you spend it nice. Thanks for stopping by my blog, see ya!

It annoys me as well when people can’t keep their distance Marit. I haven’t been out for a week and I am not inclined to either at the moment. I am having fun joining in with you on FB. I never get tired of I will Survive by Gloria Gaynor so that will be me later on. Glad that you are keeping well, great chronicles as ever. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

Now that is one sparkling desk you have there! It’s nice to have a clean desk. I have been trying to clean mine at the end of each session so I can start right in when I sit. Some days, I am good about it other days, not so much. Your Song Challenge sounds like fun. I love listening to music. Oh, and your art journal is so much fun to look at. It’s still morning here. It’s sunny and cold here right now. I am having my morning smoothie while snooping around everyone’s desk! Stay well.

I’m late in the day managing to get round my blogging friends. I’ve been busy making 2 Memory dogs for one of my customers.
Gorgeous artwork this week.

I live on the outskirts of a big city with lots of lovely countryside walks but still people try and pass too close which is really annoying. I have to get out every day otherwise my ADHD 13 year old would explode! Your desk is impressively tidy and I love the interesting figures on your chronicles pages.Happy WOYWW. Stay safe and take care. With love and God Bless, Caro x (#25)

Hi Marit! I do love a clean desk but rarely achieve it for more than a day! Sometimes I think I spend more time tidying than creating. I love your ‘isolation’ quote, it is so true. I have resisted the urge to go out walking and just stayed in my garden. The odd occasion I have been out it doesn’t really seem any different though I expect in central London it would be very quiet. Stay safe, stay well, Happy WOYWW, Cindy #18

Well look at you being up to date and having to clean your desk! I’ve always thought it was one of the cleanest desk in WOYWW anyway, so you are in good habits Miss Marit! It’s a fairly simple thing isn’t it, to keep your distance (however counter intuitive), so it does make me cross too, winemaker people don’t, it’s pretty much all the governments talk about after all! Glad you’re staying well though, and making the most of lockdown. X

That desk is most certainly tidy Marit, like a new pin hee hee.. I’m so glad to see you have been catching up with your chronicles another job well done, they really are a treat for me to see. Really like the look of that song challenge, you’ll have me thinking of today’s (24) whilst I hold my trusty paint brush now today’s paint is mixed. Probably far too many to mention… Take care & stay very safe Tracey #3 xx

How lovely to go out walking! PJ doesn’t like walking, he’s not too steady on his feet, I exercise using the stairs!
The journal pages are really good, love the first quote…. so true.
Have a good week

Good to be able to get out for fresh air and exercise. It is quite busy here where I live – mostly families out and about. I am a bit late getting round the desks this week – been busy with my sewing for NHS – bags, hats and masks for community settings. All good fun, uses up some of my stash and keeps me out of mischief! Stay safe. xx Jo #9

That’s what I call a tidy desk, Marit! Love your pages. I think I would find the song challenge hard to do, although I could think of a few!
Happy belated WOYWW,
