Hi there lovely ones, how are you doing?
I’m amazingly fine and energetic, mostly due to the fact that temperatures dropped in The Netherlands.
Life is so much nicer when you don’t spread drops of sweat all around; dealing with hot flashes at tropical temperatures is hard you know…. but after some heavy rains there’s wind and clouds in the air and I took the opportunity of feeling ‘cool’ to do some housekeeping…. which made me sweat all over again but at least I kept a clean bathroom as a result this time.
After all that cleaning I gave myself the afternoon off to drink coffee on the balcony and do whatever pleases me. I sat and enjoyed the blue sky, the white clouds, the Southern wind and the sound of chimes above my head. Tall John‘s bells fill the air every fifteen minutes – a longer melody on full and half hours and a short jingle on the quarters. I got used to hear the carillon over the past months and half of the time I don’t even notice it anymore, but every time I dó hear the chimes, their melody brings a smile on my face.
Today I honor the carillon of Tall John and celebrate the day with this haiku
Bells, Wind and Clouds
Hoog boven de stad waaiend op de zuidenwind klinkt het carillon. . High above this town I submit today’s haiku to Recuerda Mi Corazon where our lovely hostess Rebecca brings us all together – that is, if she’s there ’cause last week there was no Haiku-post on her blog and I checked just now and there’s no post today either to link this post to… Let me just give you the link to her blog then: Recuerda Mi Corazon. I wish you all a wonderful weekend. |
