When I ate my lunch last week, sitting at our big dinner table, I stared at the books in my bookcase and a poem started to develop from the titles. Some of you may remember I posted quite some book title haiku photos in 2012 and 2013 (see the complete series in this album.) The poem I found in my bookcase is not a haiku this time, but I still submit it to Haiku My Heart today. I think they will forgive me this escapade to a longer poem…

Rebecca; hostess of the Haiku circle; also started a series on her blog called “Twelve days of mother love” – also called “Twelve days of Mary love”. It’s about posting about the virgin Mary and that is not really in my line. However, Rebecca is not that strict when it comes to ‘rules’, hence her explanation: “Today marks the first day of December beginning twelve days of Mary love. everyone is invited. while this is not about religion, it is about sharing, opening hearts, rejoicing in ultimate mother love.”
So, OK.. mother love – I had to think of a photo of me and my son right away.
This was back in 1994, when Nout was two years old.
Isn’t that the sweetest picture?!
I send you all a warm hug and wish you a nice weekend.
The photo is sweet. Your “book title poetry” always amazes me. Have a wonder-filled day!
The photo of you and your son in 1994 is such a sacred ordinary depiction of Mother Love. That little boy is all grown up now and I’d love to see a photo of him as a man. Thanks for posting this today.
Oh yes Fran, he grew up into an extraordinary young man… I hope to see him soon and I plan on taking a photo in the same pose and show it on my blog soon. Promise!
What a treat to see this photo of you Marit, and such love and sweetness! I too am so in awe of your book poetry and how you bring them together for us, painting this picture in words… xoxoxo
dear Marit, Love the poetry your book titles make.
Your Mother LOVE photograph is so very sweet.
xx
I love your “mother love” pic, Marit. So sweet!
Sweet, sweet photo!
Wat een ontzettend leuke, lieve foto.
