Goodmorning desk-hoppers, art lovers, curious peeps, lovely ones – it’s another Wednesday and I know why you’re here… you want to take a peek at my desk aeh?! It’s that day that I show a photo of my desk and share it with the ‘deskers’ from all over the worlds who join Julia’s weekly event What’s On Your Work desk Wednesday. If you are in to look at some more work-desks and/or want to join, hop on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground to find out everything about it.
My desk is, as usual, pretty organised this morning. There’s an art journal spread that I started yesterday and some ‘stuff’ that is always there… and yes, I do need to change the water.
~ Have you seen my brush pots baby, standing in the shadow ~
My mum goes to a ‘ceramic club’ every week where she makes the most wonderful plates, bowls and vases. A couple of weeks ago she made these pots for me to put my brushes in… aren’t they gorgeous?!
I love the colour and how the enamel coating turned out, with those greenish dots. Thank you so much momma-dear!!
Next spread was laying on my desk last week, and today I can show you the finished page.
The Chronicles of Marit 2019 – Week 2
That’s it for today sweeties, I know you desk-hoppers don’t want the posts to be long as there’s more desks to visit… but I write posts on Wednesday AND Friday so if you want to see what more I created last week, come back next Friday.
You and your mum obviously have the same crafting genes! I love the shape and colour of the pots she made for you – I bet you think of her every time you select a brush from now on! The journal pages are great too….love your work!
Hugs LLJ 14 xx
Morning Marit. Just love those pots – and yes, the colour and enamelling has come out beautifully. Years ago I did my City and Guilds in design and Embroidery – and thought at the time how lovely it would be to do the ceramics course… time went by… nothing happened sadly. Something in me would still like to do it – maybe, one day?
Take care. God bless.

I love those brush pots Marit, even more so that your dear Mum made them. So special.. Your journal pages are as vibrant as ever and that water is perfect, no need to change unless you are working with lighter colours… we need to savour every drop of this precious liquid.

Beautiful pots, lucky you. I like the colour she chose to glaze them with.
I do like the new page you are starting – especially the figure with the zebra head sitting on the spoon. How on earth did you manage to find images to make that up? It is absolutely fabulous!
Hugs, Neet 8 xx
