Call in the cavalry

November 30, 2011 By Marit 15 Comments

After struggling all afternoon with website pages and HTML-codes,
I called in the cavalry yesterday and ofcourse my beloved fixed it for me.
Ha, now you know why he’s a member of the FEATURING team!
What should I do without him?

Yep, you heard me… the FEATURING team is introduced
so hop on over to the website and take a look at the ‘About’ page!
Oh, and while you’re there – we are open to receive all kinds of
artwork for our theme gallery – so check out the submission-page
as well! (You can come back here later to read the rest of my
blogpost.)

..

Last weekend, the latest book (collection of poems: Zeegrens – gedichten
1980 -2000) by my mom Johanna Kruit was presented in Middelburg.
Ofcourse I was there! You can read about the presentation and watch
the photos at de ‘Veerse Courant‘

While driving to Zeeland, I heard a nice song on the radio. One line in
particular got my attention so I jotted it down right away. Back home
I looked it up and the words came from the song ‘It’s a long, long way’
by Seasick Steve. This man is becoming quite popular in the Netherlands
lately. He gave a couple of concerts which I read about in the newspaper,
but I’d never heard his music before. I liked his crackling old blues-voice!

That sentence stuck with me all weekend, so I used it on my weekly page!

The Chronicles of Marit – Week 47

(Size: 23 x 31 cm - 9.1 x 12.2 inch)

That’s a nice phrase, isn’t it?
I can’t think of much more to say
except: enjoy the week!
Keep on dancing!
Meet the team!
YEAY!

I love this page, it’s so full of life.
Seasick Steve is great, especially “Can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. We have a Dutch lady who’s gaining popularity over here, Caro Emerald – there’s journal material in her work too πŸ™‚

Seasick Steve?
