Can I do it again?

March 7, 2011 By Marit 19 Comments

I posted three times last week… and you know what?
I will do it again this week!

I won’t write long blogposts though.
At least not today…

… instead, here are some new art journal pages.

The Chronicles of Marit – week 9

The next page has a lot of journaling, that is hidden under a layer of tape
and gesso. Yes, you guessed right: it’s a page in my “Honest journal”
The  tape idea came from a prompt on  Soul Journaling with Sarah Whitmire

And another “Honest page”.
This one was also inspired by a prompt on the Soul Journaling blog.
I liked the inchies-idea but I didn’t cut photos from magazines, according to
a ‘list’ that was given with this prompt. Instead, I used photos of my own work,
which I cut in ‘inchies’.

And now, as a proud momma,
I want you all to hop over to Songs in my heART

Look who is featured there?!!! (March 6) Yesssss
(You rock baby!! Love ya!)

(And don’t forget to submit your music-related art to Penny!
We can get this musical blog started, can’t we?!)

See you on Wednesday!!!

I did Sarah’s posts way back when she first shared them. They are so fun and freeing !Love that you used your own artwork instead of the mag images for your inchies.
Have a great day, Beautiful One !

Wow, your art journaling is incredible. My style of scrapping is so different, but your art journaling seems so much like living art. It seems to come alive. KWIM?

Oh… does that mean you have more exciting news to share this week? I really love the taped page… esp. the handwriting on it! And I have to try an edge like on your first page tomorrow… Thanks for the inspiration!

These new pages are incredible! The “honest pages” remind me of Juliana Coles’ extreme journal pages. I wanted to thank you again for the support you’ve given me over the past couple of years, Marit. Encouragement is what has keeps me going, and I so appreciate your kindness and generosity.

    Love,
    Kathy

Love your post Marit! I think the chronicles are awesome… and it’s your art that inspires me to create as much as I do you know! I love the idea of printing out a whole collage of pages and using them as inchies, or ATCS – how cool is that?
Good to be here again! =)

PS – Thanks for the Happy Birthday wishes!
