Change of Plans & woyww #349

February 10, 2016 By Marit 13 Comments

Good morning lovelies… at least I hope it is a GOOD morning for you ’cause to me it isn’t… you who read last week’s post will probably be as surprised as I am to hear that this morning the noise (drilling, hammering) started AGAIN! Be glad you ‘hear’ it from me though, and not in real live! After three days of peace, the workmen are back in the apartment nearby, renovating and making our lives miserable…

This will be a short blog post, showing my desk and some art journal pages and then I’m outta here. Instead of working with the blind drawings, as I planned to do, my beloved and I will go for a long walk and visit the second hand store at the other end of town. That will keep us occupied and away from the noise for a few hours (and visiting a second hand store is always a fun thing to do, don’t you think?!)

So, here’s my desk as it lay waiting for me this morning

I took out the blind drawings I had stored in a file, as I plan to ‘do something with it’. (Not sure yet what the ‘it’ will be… I might copy them first to do some tests.

Here’s one of the drawings.

I haven’t shown my Chronicles pages for a while, here’s two spreads from January

The Chronicles of Marit 2016 – Week 2

The Chronicles of Marit 2016 – Week 3

And that’s it for today dear ones. I hope to visit your desks later this week… I am going to put on my walking shoes and get out of here… have a nice, peaceful day y’all!

Oh, Marit, I’m so sorry! It must have been devastating to think that the noise was over and done with, only for it to come back again! How cruel! Enough to make anyone go crazy! Which I though might have happened when I looked at your face drawing, LOL, not realizing it was drawn with your eyes closed. Must try that! That picture would be perfect for an art journal page about your frustration with that constant racket from next door! Greta journal pages – love all those border doodles on the Bowie one! It must have taken you ages! Hope the noise will be gone soon, once and for all! zsuzsa #36

I’m sorry you’re still having to put up with the noise! A nice walk and shopping visit sound like a good getaway. I hope they are done soon.

I like your blind drawing. Looks like a piece of abstract art!

    Hope things get quieter

Oh Marit what a pain! Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the studio too. I think your alternative plan for the day sounds wonderful and romantic, I hope you stopped somewhere for a lovely lunch together as well.

I’ve got to say I’m impressed with your drawing – I’m not sure I would do better with both eyes open and something to trace over! Your Chronicles of Marit pages look interesting, they remind me a bit of Teesha Moore’s collage journals, love that bubble border around your David Bowie (sad news) page.

Fingers crossed that the work finishes quickly and you can get back to normality again.

Wishing you a peaceful week. Hugs MMx #32

Vicky#18

Its exhausting, that sort of noise. We once had a neighbour who worked a shift and he would start drilling and cutting…as soon as we got into bed! I feel your pain. But a visit to a second hand shop will have helped, love them. All the stories and potential! Of course I love the Chronicle Pages. I take it that’s you, lying down and naked ?!!! The blind drawing is brillinat, you wont cover up too much of it will you?

Yep, that’s me on the photo, about 32 years ago when I was still young and beautiful 😉 I put this photo in my journal because I had to get my breasts examined again in January (TG everything’s alright.)
