Chronicles art journal & woyww #647

October 27, 2021 By Marit 15 Comments

Hi there sweeties, I have a short blogpost today to show you my desk and some of my latest art journal spreads. I took the day off from work and have a nice visit into town on my mind and since it’s already noon, I better get going… so without further ado, here’s my desk.

WOYWW #647

Scraps of paper which I use to test the water colour while drawing – these are from a couple of weeks. Yes, the drawing collaboration with my son is still going strong (although in another/new routine, see this post) and I safe those colourfull note-pieces to use in my art journal. That’s the plan anyway…

I will publish the drawings we made in Oktober next week – in the first week of November – but I can show you my latest art journal spreads and look who’s there on that photo: my son! (and his girlfriend, and my beloved, oh – and me!)

The chronicles from Marit – week 39

The chronicles from Marit – week 40

That’s all for now… the clouds are dissappearing, the sun starts to shine just now so I am going to put on my shoes and go outside to enjoy my wonderful town in Autumn light and sniff some fresh air. Have a lovely day too and I hope to visit you later this week. See ya!

I think the water paint examples are rather good… scan them, they look really useful! I love the colours on the pages, but, still, haven’t had ago… I still need a purpose to do it! The black blob in the bottom of the bottom page, reminds me of the Id in one of my stories. Have a great week.keep crafting, Happy WOYWW #((Lyn)) #20

Those little book marks are a great idea and a good way to use up watercolour testers. How lovely that you’re still doing the drawing challenge with your son!

I love your journal pages Marit, they are always so vibrant. Enjoy your walk. It’s sunny here today too, though there’s been terrible rain in the north west.
    Take care and happy WOYWW

    Enjoy your day off.
Lovely family photo and what a terrific layout – I love the facing page (to the photo,of you all) – gorgeous big lettering which I feel takes some skill to do.
Love the colours you have chosen to use in the second set of pages – they work so well together.
    Have a good week

Your pages are great and that’s a lovely photo of your family. The little paper strips look like little pieces of art work – it’s a good idea to use them in your journal.
Hope you have a good week,

Isn’t it funny how sometimes, scraps that some people might consider trash turn into gorgeous works of art in the hands of someone who can see past the randomness to the beauty hiding inside? That is why I have bins and pile and bags of that wort of thing and when I need inspiration, it’s where I go first. Loving your journal pages, inspiring as ever, and nice to see you smiling out from one of them 🙂

Happy WOYWW, back to being a day late today

I hope you did enjoy a good walk around t8e and get a chance to take in some of the beauty of autumn in the sun. I love that photo in your journal, how alike you and your boy are! There aren’t many people who can turn strips of water colour tests into art, but I know you will, so try not to forget to point them out when you have a page with one incorporated!

Thank you for visiting, Marit, and I’m so glad you liked my patchwork cards. I’ve done some hexagon ones now, with gold on them and I’m really pleased with them – I’ll post them next time. I do hope you will do some too with your scraps, and please do show them when you have because I’d love to see them!
