Hi there sweet ones… pfew, I made it to my blog! You know those days that you keep on running behind – as if hours fly like minutes and you have the feeling there’s something wrong because ‘how can it be afternoon already?” I have one of those days, in fact, all week went by like that! Did I even visit back the deskers that payed me a visit last week?
To save some time – in trying to get my mind to fit with the clock – I won’t type much today and just show you some photos, ok?
This photo was taken last week and it’s very special, ’cause usually I don’t sit at my desk in the evening (or did you think I drink wine in the morning??)
I came across this picture on the internet a while ago
…and it inspired me to use those kind of lettering in my art journal
The Chronicles of Marit 2020 – Week 23
I thought I’d use my white marker to fill in the lettering but that didn’t work well (the ink was not opaque enough) so I took a fine brush and paint to fill those words (twice!) Now that I write this down: that must be the reason I have the feeling I keep running behind; it took me ages to fill those lettering!
And here’s another small collague for the old/new project

Thanks for visiting my blog today, I hope to find time later this week to visit you back. In the meantime: enjoy your day, relax, breathe, don’t hurry, be happy!
Hi Marit. I really like the sentiment on the Woody Guthrie page – I realize it was the script you liked, but I confess I like the thoughts. Too many folks out there love to belittle others… Let’s make positive comments. Well done on the hard work to get the effect you wanted to achieve – no wonder you feel like the day is running away with you when I read how much work you put into that one piece.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

I totally agree whith what you say about that Woody Guthrie quote Margaret! I not only loved the lettering but it’s a strong image because of that text too!
lovely words and i love how you have taken inspiration for your page. Have a great week . soojay #17
I have replaced into lockdown time so well that I no longer care what time it is, nothing to get ready for, so WOYWW means at least I know what day it is, lol! I wouldn’t blame you for having a glass of wine in the morning either, sometimes it’s gotta be done!
The lyrics of that song are fantastic, Woody Guthrie was a genius.

Love the lettering. Well worth going over it twice Marit. Stay safe and happy WOYWW.
Hi Marit, yes, no wonder you ran out of time, that lettering must have taken ages. But worth it. Stay safe, stay well, happy woyww Cindy #11
I wish I could do lettering like that! what a great page (they always are!) Have a good week Helen #1
There’s nothing wrong with drinking in the morning – well, for lunch, anyway. Lovely pages – I always admire your lettering! Happy WOYWW Marit! xx zsuzsa #24
Hi Marit, that looks like a lot of work in the journal but worth it for sure. Wishing you a happy week and a creative woyww, Angela x19x
Hi Marit, great pieces as always. Laughing at Thinking you drink wine in the mornings! I hate it when days escape me like that- you look back and wonder where all the time went. Stay safe, Have a good week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X
Lovely work Marit – what patience you must have had to deal with that lettering – well worth the effort. xx Jo
Hi Marit, sorry for the late visit. I fully agree the hours just disappear, but I can see why your lettering took so long, having to go over it twice, but it does look very good. I did wonder about the glass of wine in the morning… ๐๐ have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #4
Not sure I will ever visit my blog again either in this heat, it’s too hot to think! ๐
Summer hugs to you.
It must have taken ages to fill in all those letters! What patience you have!
Stay safe…
Happy Crafting

I love the Woodie Guthrie quote, I hate listening to songs that bring people down, etc. There’s one Justin Bieber song that I really hate, about how “my mother never really liked you anyway”, it’s so awful. But the lettering is also something I noticed, and you did a great job using it in your journal. Sometimes we just have to spend the time to get things the way we want them! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #29
Your pages are always fantastic, Marit, and so different from anything else I’ve seen. White lettering can be a real pain, and going over the whole thing must have taken you hours! It was certainly worth it in the end because it looks amazing.
Happy belated WOYWW,

Wow! That lettering must have taken you hours! It is such a good effect though. I love your mini collage as well, so effective. Sorry I am late visiting. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xx (#9)
