Hi there sweeties – it is Tuesday afternoon here and instead of visiting last week’s deskers (as planned) I am doing what I planned to do on Wednesday morning: write a ‘desk’ blogpost that I schedule to go online tomorrow morning. My beloved and I agreed to start Spring-cleaning on Wednesday and so I had to rearrange my schedule… sorry to all who left me a comment last week, I really wanted to pay you a visit but there aren’t too many hours left to do that now, you’ll see me stopping by another time, ok?!
I do hope you enjoyed your Easter days? Mine were filled with sunshine, crocheting, love, laughter and a thrilling bicycle race (more about that further in this post) Oh, and a little bit of creating on Monday as there were birthdays coming up and handmade postcards needed to be made.
So what’s on my desk right now?
I was cutting out that ‘doll on rollerskates’ to use in my art journal. The photo behind that is a news photo of the winner of the Amstel Gold Race (a bicycle race) – we watched the race last Sunday and especially the last part of the race was thrilling… as a friend called it: “edge of your seat stuff!” (watch this short video of the last 1.5 kilometers on Eurosport if you’re curious now) and of course that event needs to be memorized on my next Chronicles spread!
On the photo to the right you can see my Chronicles art journal laying stand by, the page partly seen is the one I made a while ago. Here it is in it’s full glory
The Chronicles of Marit 2019 – Week 15
And here are those birthday cards I spoke about… fun, bright and happy collage postcards
this one is for Karin, an old childhood friend
and the next one is for Guus, my son’s girlfriend (the sweetest, nicest, awesome-est girl he could choose – I must have done something right raising him!)
I’m signing off now… when you read this on Wednesday, I will probably be somewhere in the midst of cleaning the apartment. Can you picture me standing on stepladder with a scarf around my hair, red-faced and sweaty armpits? (NO, I won’t take a selfie!)
May you have a beautiful RELAXED Wednesday, see ya soon.

It always amazes me that when the sun shows it’s face how we decide to make plans to clean up indoors.. Hee hee!! Have fun with the clean up and please no selfies we do not want you toppling off that ladder now.
Bright and cheery cards Marit, they would put a smile on anyone’s face to receive those mini works or art.
Have fun with your day & make time for coffee every now and then.. Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey #5

I love, love, love your cards, Marit! Just the thing – so nice and bright. Your journal page is fabulous too. I hope the spring cleaning goes OK. I shall tackle a few things, just one at a time (I may finish by next Spring!) or as much as low energy levels will allow.
Have a great week, and happy WOYWW,

Ooh I love the cards – they are both fabulous and the journal pages are great too – gorgeous colours. Good for you getting on with the spring cleaning – the sun catches every tiny spec of dirt at this time of year doesn’t it. So far I’m thinking about it, so your enthusiasm may just spur me into action this week!
Have fun and watch yourself on the ladder!

Your postcards are very unique, Marit – so bright and cheerful. Loving the borders – and the journal page too! I did watch the video – the narration made it sound very dramatic and the winner looked like he gave it all. Hope he’s ok, cause he just collapsed in the end. Happy cleaning – not the most exciting jobs, but it’s so worth it when it’s done! zsuzsa #24

Thank you for your return visit, Marit, and for your kind words and good wishes regarding my tooth and also my blog! Both are gradually improving! I am glad you like the look of my blog and are pleased to be able to see the photos. As for the spring cleaning, I have cleaned two of the shelves in the pantry now that the roofer says there’s no problem with the roof. The damp is superficial and caused by condensation because the builder put a ventilator in and it’s just drawing cold damp air in from outside. I am very reassured that there is no major problem. I am not tackling the whole pantry in one go but shelf by shelf!
Enjoy the rest of the week,
Shoshi x
