Hi there beautiful ones, thanks for stopping by on what is yet another Wednesday. You probably came to look at my desk and figure out what I’m up to, creatively-wise – as that is what we do on Wednesday: show our desk to other ‘deskers’ who visit the link-list on Julia’s blog for the weekly ‘event’: What’s On Your Workdesk, Wednesday.
I have to disappoint you, this morning my desk was empty – but there’s something on the floor instead!
Because you liked the photo taken from another angle last week I thought I’d give you a view to another corner of my atelier. The sheets of paper on the floor are tests with ‘Bistre powder’ stains. I have a little idea in mind for a guest-lesson that I will teach in a class of teenagers in January and I wanted to try some things… it is in an early stage of testing though and looking at these stains I don’t know if this idea of mine is suitable for a lesson. Oh well, there’s still time to think of something else…
Anyway, here’s the photo of my ‘corner’ for this week’s WOYWW #349
I am all up to date with creating my weekly ‘Chronicles’ art journal spreads (up to week 43) but I didn’t show you all those spreads yet. I won’t post all four spreads waiting in line to be published – after all, there are other desks to visit too – but here’s two spreads in this ‘visual diary’ from last month.
The Chronicles of Marit 2017 – Week 40
The Chronicles of Marit 2017 – Week 41
… and now I am off to do what I planned on doing today: clean the bedroom and change linens, do laundry, go grocery shopping, pick up a dvd of a scandinavian crime series at the local library, write a newsletter (wanna subscribe? Go to my website) and maybe, just maybe there will be time left to visit some desks today. But if not today, I will visit you later this week. See you!
I like the corner view and your magnificent magazine collection! And as usual I’m impressed with how consistent you create spreads in your journal & how cool they look week after week!

Morning Marit. Trust you are well down your to-do list by this time… Not sure what those paints are – are they like Brusho powders? Trust you will find something which works for you for your class.
Take care. God bless.

Hi marit, lovely to see a different view of your creative space. Not tried the Bistre powders, I bought Brushos. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX
Goodness, Marit, you have a very long “to do” list today. I hope you have managed to get it all done. Love your two pages, they are so full of life and colour and your bister experiments look interesting.
Enjoy the rest of your week

Your continuing endeavor to create Chronicle pages is so inspiring, Marit! Love those journal pages and the way that you always incorporate writing in such fresh ways!!!
I have a very similar bookcase from IKEA, mine appears to be near collapse. That is a terrific way to show it with the labels. you are very efficient and organized.

I just love how organised your studio is and how easily accessible everything is – just how I would like mine to be! Good luck with those powders – I managed to get them everywhere and they drove me almost as mad as glitter does!
Hope you have a great week,

Fab desk and pages! Take care Zo xx 26
I love your annotated photo of your creative space, Marit – it all looks great. Your journal pages are gorgeous – I particularly like the vibrant colours of the second one. I have got Brushos but don’t use them so much, now I’ve got Infusions, which I prefer – the colours are more subtle and you get that gorgeous walnut brown coming through too. Paints like this are really fun to use, aren’t they.
Happy belated WOYWW,

Love your week 41 page, yellow and pink and snappy together. BJ#1
Ah Marit, you never fail, what a lesson in stash management your pictures are! I dont know what bister is though, although I see it makes great backgrounds! As for me..that orange thing hanging on the door handle…some part or other for the lawn mower! I’m frightened to move it because I dont know if either of us will ever remember where it’s new home is!
Oh what pleasure to read and admire all this. Wish I had more time on my hands to spend on (other) creative things and have a go at the bister splashes that you posted in your newsletter. (Which I read with tremendous interest of course….thanks for mentioning my website). I also want to let you know that one of your Let it Loose students was in my writing course and showed her journal. Many of my students wanted to join in your nest on line course, so don’t wait too long to start another one!!!
