Friday haiku
hoe helder het was… we konden heel ver kijken Breskens leek dichtbij |
how clear the sky was… we could see very far and Breskens seemed so close |
*Breskens is the town on the other side of the Westerschelde river (as the crow flies 6.5 km.)

here in the southwest the skies are full of intense smoke from three major fires- one of them less than ten miles from my home. fire season seems to start earlier each year and this year is no exception. most of the week we are also enduring 30 to 50 mile and hour winds. it is heart braking.
thank you for your clear blue skies. they give me hope!

It looks as if you took… one large step… you would be there! To have clean air and this beauty is appreciated beyond measure. Thank to you both for this photo and your haiku. What a team of artists to grace our Fridays. Thanks Marit. A big hug to you today, and every day. XO

Beautiful. It has been overcast here for days, not knowing if it will rain or not. It’s fine, because it keeps the temperatures cooler.
