Hello Friday, Hello Friends!
I managed to compose another book title haiku for you, but I am almost done with it as I used up most of the books in my bookcase that have the right syllables in the titles… I am at a point that I use titles that has been used in a book title haiku before – combining them differently to get another haiku – but the end is near… somewhere this Summer, these book title haiku’s will stop and I have to decide if I go back to writing haiku (submitting to Haiku my Heart) OR start a new series “Found Poetry Friday” (which will give me more freedom to ‘compose poems’ than haiku…) What do you think?
Anyway – for now – here’s another Book title Haiku!
De mystieke vrouw
Tussen iemand en niemand Haar moeders dochter |
The Feminine Mystique
Between Someone and No One Her Mother’s Daughter |
And of course I submit my haiku to Haiku my Heart Friday
Some of you may have noticed that I did not post any pages from the “Chronicles” journal lately… that’s right. When things are not going well, this is what happens…
Chronicles of Marit 2013 – Week 19
[an attempt to journal, but not finished]
Chronicles of Marit 2013 – Week 20 – 21 – 22
[‘black weeks’ in which I did nothing…]
Chronicles of Marit 2013 – Week 23 – 21 – 22
[cautious attempt to resume art journaling]
… and week 24 is looking better even… I’m working on it!
I DID make
a lot of collages
on index cards –
for the Box of Longing
and for ICAD
The Smell of Fields Before Harvest
The Crystal Clarity of a Night
The Intimacy of Conversations on the Road
And that’s it dear ones… thanks for visiting me again.
I wish you all a nice weekend with Crystal Clear Nights and Intimate Conversations.
As far as that first question, I say, do what your heart tells you to do. After all, that is the spirit of Haiku My Heart. I like the book titles and the way they evoke creativity.
The days when no chronicles were written were days that needed to be spent doing something else. Too bad you weren’t over here spending the afternoon on a sunny patio having coffee with me!
I have wandered on an unusual item. I will photograph it and send you a picture and tell you about it soon. It closely relates to the index cards and i am excited to share. Stay tuned.
Peace
Love love love these!! Those cards have such beautiful colors!!
LOVE this book title combination! As for your question, if you like composing haiku, forget the syllables and just write! It’s the MOMENT that you are writing about that matters! Your art journals are inspiring too! I think there is a haiku buried in your offerings today! Haiku My Heart Raining
oh I have been wanting to ICAD….but I really do like your idea of found poetry ! My favorite!
dear marit,
haiku or found poetry, i hope you will continue to link in at haiku my heart! you are such a lovely part of the hearts that make fridays so warm and caring; next friday haiku my heart is three years old!
i have been enjoying your bookshelf haiku, and there is always the local library to discover endless haiku possibilities!
week 23 journal page is stunning!
I love the index cards,
the single colored-ness.
You are so busy,
I am amazed you don’t have more blank pages.
Found poetry Friday sounds like fun.

I’ve enjoyed your book title haiku!
Those titles fit together perfectly.
Seeing your haiku and all other pages of your art/projects is a highlight for me on Fridays. Hope you continue to visit here.
I’m always eager to see the “book haiku”—it never disappoints!

My camera battery is dead and my phone’s not handy. But I find some options on the nearby shelf:
Heartbroken Open
On My Own
Daring Greatly
Ah the book haiku. I find them lovely and creative. No one else does that. I’m with Spadoman – ‘do what your heart tells you to do.’
Your bookshelf Haiku’s are always inspiring! I agree with everyone that is saying you should do what calls to you next. The idea of found poetry is intriguing tho – I would love to see what you do with that. Your index cards (and the box they go in!) are gorgeous – so you!
Lieve zus, gewoon even zeggen dat ik veel aan je denk en erg veel van je hou.
