Drawing collaboration – 7th week

April 5, 2021 By Marit 7 Comments

My son and I are still drawing but we both find that creating seven drawings a week is a little too much – we both have jobs, a partner and other things we want to do. However, we do like our drawing collaboration too much to let go, so we decided to lower the number, and make three drawings a week instead of seven. Here’s what we did last week:

I came up with the theme: Draw something you did or noticed today

MY (Marit) DRAWINGS

I am trying to quit smoking… (it’s hard!)

My workbench at the Zeeuws Archief.

We ate French Fries for dinner on Wednesday.

NOUT’S DRAWINGS

“The bouquet of flowers we received last week and which are still beautiful.”

“Mads Mikkelsen in the movie ‘Another Round’ – Four friends, all high school teachers, test a theory that they will improve their lives by maintaining a constant level of alcohol in their blood.”

“I drew the sheep that Guus and I met when we went for a walk.”

Thanks for stopping by, we do appreciate your comments very much!

Oh Marit. These are fun. Now I have a movie to add to my watch list. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next week.

Honestly, Marit, I think you and Nout should turn you ‘collaborative’ drawing experiment into a book. What an incredibly fun and interesting project the two of you have embarked upon. Though you are not actually completing each other’s drawings, what the two of you are doing has a similar feeling and intuitive quality as the Surrealist’s drawing game, “Exquisite Corpse”.
