Evening Stroll
Avondwandeling
de zon laat zijn laatste straal op mijn pad vallen |
Early evening stroll
the sun send his last rays to enlighten my path |
It’s been cold and grey in the Netherlands and in fact, it still is.
Yesterday was an exception. Although it wasn’t very warm either,
the sun was shining and my beloved and I decided – since the soccer
match that we were watching on TV wasn’t much fun – to go for an
evening stroll. We live on the edge of the city and within 5 minutes,
we walk between meadows and woods. I took the camera with me
and took some lovely ‘early evening shots’.
I subscribe this haiku to ‘Haiku my Heart Friday’.
Haiku my Heart is hosted by the wonderful Rebecca who gathers haiku
lovers around her every Friday. You can find the list with all participants
here on Recuarda Mi Corazon.
the first Quirky Dutch Summer post went online last Tuesday, did you see it?
The flickr group is already filling up with artwork that participants made
using the inspiration that was given. I myself decided to play along and work
on the background I showed as an example. Here’s what I did with it.
Size: 29,7 x 21 cm - 16.9 x 8.3 inch.
It’s a simple collage – using cut out images from magazines, a piece of lace
I had laying around, a stamp (the man’s head) and a drawn hat. The border
is made from paper scraps. This page is nothing deep, just fooling around –
get lost in the shapes and colours and play.
That’s all for today dear ones. I have a sore muscle in my arm and sitting
at the computer, typing blogposts, is not helping… I better give my arm
some rest and stay away from the computer keyboard for the rest of the day.
Have a healthy weekend!
