Goodmorning sweeties… just a short blogpost from me today. No pics of my workdesk because 1: there’s nothing to show and 2: the woyww-deskers are occupied with the annual ATC swap and I do not participate in the swap this year… but GOODMORNING to all of you who found my blogpost anyway!
When I walked onto my balcony this morning, holding my mug of coffee and my first sigaret (I know, I know…) I saw two policemen coming through the alley, all dressed up in uniform. Standing halfway the alley, almost beneath my balcony they both lit up a sigaret, ha! Then they looked up and saw me standing there…
Me: “Goodmorning officers, want some coffee too?”
Policemen: “No thanks, no time for that. We have to check and keep your alley save.”
Me: “- and inhale some nicotine in the meantime; I [while waving my sigaret] totally understand 😉
Now you may think why is the police showing up in your alley, is it a dangerous neighbourhood you live in? Hell no! But as I explained (and showed) in my former post, I live in the city centre now, near Tall John, and today the Four Freedoms Award medals are awarded there. The King and Queen will be there so my neighbourhood gets secured. And my big buddy Tall John? He really stands tall this morning!
The big tree (Beech?) is blocking most of him but you can see his top…
…and look what’s there!
There will be lots of people visiting the town today to catch a glimpse of our Royal couple but not me… I plan to do some housekeeping (and maybe play in my atelier a little.) I better get started, but not before I show you some art. Here’s my latest art journal spread
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 18
Have a nice day y’all.
Be happy,
wave a flag.
Marit I’m inhaling right along with you! ???
Marit, you so are nicely behaved when it comes to those in uniform, speaking with them politely and even offering them refreshment. Unfortunately, my wife, Jamie, having been in college during the ‘60’s (and generally suspicious of those in uniform), tends to walk up to them and ask them what they’re doing in our neighborhood. Attempting to restrain her from such behavior usually only makes things worse.
