Found Poetry Friday #2

I love poetry.
I am especially fond of ‘found poetry’, and I mean found in all its forms… found in book titles, found in magazines, on book pages, cut out words and sentences – you name it. There is so much possible when it comes to ‘found poetry’… and this kind of poetry is also great to use on art journal pages also.

I therefore started FOUND POETRY FRIDAY – everyone is welcome to play along!

There is an “Inlinkz”-list at the end of this post. If you want to share your found poems, you are welcome to add your name to the list that will link us to your blogpost.

You can post your found poem on your own blog any time during the week, so you don’t have to make YOUR Fridays all about poetry – you just link us to the post that contains your poem. Please use the url that goes directly to you ‘found poetry post.’

My poem this week was created with cut out sentences/words. I have a box filled with all kinds of cut out sentences and I threw them all on the table… then I looked at what sentences ‘spoke to me’ and how they would fit together to form a poem. I spend half an hour puzzling, but I like the outcome!

I created a background for this poem in my ‘weird art journal’ and added a tape tranfer that I made the other day (the woman’s face on the left.) I blame Rachel & Glenda as the challenge at A Year in the Live of an Art Journal was to use the ‘tape transfering technique’ on your journal page.

(Tip: Tape transfering is the most easy way of transfering, here’s a 1.19 video by Julie Baltzer on how to do it.)

Did you find a poem this week?

Wow, that is really cool! Such a shame I used a songtext in today’s art journal page…
Have a great start in the weekend! – Irma

Dear Marit, thank you for your comment on my post, this one was a bit raw and vulnerable for me…

I love your idea, a rich ground for expressing ’emotions’…

I thought you had not been on Haiku Mr Linky for awhile, we all come and go…

I seem to be more interested in words these days too, so will see what I can come up with…x

Marit, I LOVE this idea! Your found poem is so very GOOD! I am inspired to try this, I have copied your idea with the book title haiku a few times, but haiku IS restricting and this sounds really fun. I am going to start a collection of words and phases tonight! LOVE this! ♥ ♥ ♥
