Hello hello…. the sun is shining, I took the week off and I am a happy girl! Not only because of the sunshine (I stay in the shade as much as possible) but because as of July 1st I HAVE A JOB!!! “You had a job”, you might say and yes, I’m talking about the same job as I had since September 2019 – no change in the actual work there – but as of next month I will have a permanent position at the Zeeuws Archief instead of being a temporary worker whose contract got extended a few times. I had some vacation days saved at the employment agency so that’s why I took this week off and MAN am I enjoying it, knowing my job waits for me next week!
I use my free time to spend the day with my beloved (yesterday, we visited a town nearby, walked along the seaside, strolled around on a tourist market and drank coffee on a terrace… how’s that for a vacation day?) visit my bff, visit my parents and spend time, LOTS of time in my atelier. I finished some more Chronicles spreads and I plan on creating one last page for the “mother-son collaboration project” – the evidence is on my desk right now! (I will publish all our results of last month later this week.)
I’m pretty satisfied with the spreads I made for week 22 and week 23…

…week 24, however, looks a bit ‘dark’ while it was such a nice week… oh well, I kinda like this spread anyway and am very content with how the photo transfer (the stairs) came out.

The Chronicles pages are fabulous and the stairs have come out really well – I find photo transfers very unpredictable and tricky to do – I’m very impressed with yours!

ps. good that you’re getting a permanent position! I’ve been in my current job for 4 years (the longest I’ve ever had) – and I really appreciate the steady income and not much stress. It was difficult for me to find my place after being a stay-at-home-mum for so long, so I’ll try to keep this one as long as I can!

Nothing like feeling secure in your job – and wow, you sure made good use of your pre-work holiday. LOVE your chronicles. I recently dragged out my Gel plate for a good old play and I have been keen to do image transfer again. We have been on the verge of buying a laser printer (our old one gave up the ghost years ago and it’s been inkjet since then) and when we do, I’ll be all over that for sure. I was singing along to that song too 😀
