Goodmorning lovelies, and to the ones I haven’t seen or spoken yet: I wish you a BEAUTIFUL NEW YEAR full of hope, happiness, creativity and above all health!
We may have all thought, or at least hoped, to get rid of the Covid virus this year but here we are again: The Netherlands are in lockdown. I try to see the positive (“now I don’t have to feel guilty when I spend all my free time in my atelier”) and I can still go to work and do my job, so in my case nothing much changed. However, it is pretty scary to see the number of infections with the Omicron variant increase. However, nature does what it does… henche this haiku.

hun kop boven ‘t zand
hopeful snowdrops stick their heads
above the cold soil
A new year comes with a new art journal – I finished the last spreads in my Chronicles 2021, that is now full. I won’t publish those pages here, it’s kinda ‘old news’ to me and I want to start this year afresh, but you can see all spreads from last year on my website in this gallery.
For 2022 I choose to create in a larger size journal and I bound pages 33 x 20 cm (approx. 13 x 7.9 inch.) So that will be week-spreads of 33 x 40 cm (13 x 15.8 inch) I’m curious to see if that will suit me!

I also chose a word (One Little Word) to accompany me in 2022. I am creating an art journal page about it right now and I may talk about it and show the page next time. For now: have a great day, enjoy your weekend, enjoy life and live it to the fullest.
Thanks for stopping by,
