Friday haiku and art journal pages

October 22, 2021 By Marit 8 Comments

Goodmorning lovelies, it’s the end of the week, the usual ‘haiku-day’ but today I show you a bit more. It’s been too long since I posted my art journal pages and there’s a whole bunch of photos waiting in line to be shown. So I pasted a few in this Fiday post – I hope you like to see what I create besides the weekly written haiku.

Friday haiku

in de morgenstond
zwemt een eend door de haven
ochtendgymnastiek
at the break of day
a duck swims through the harbour
morning exercise

I submit this haiku to Haiku my Heart

Some of you might know – or remember – that I keep a visual week journal (called “Chronicles”) and these are spreads from this year’s journal. It’s my 12th journal (12 years of Chronicles, wow!)

The Chronicles of Marit – Week 37

The Chronicles of Marit – Week 38 (postcard ‘closed’)

The Chronicles of Marit – Week 38 (postcard ‘open’)

For the Dutchies: I teach an online “Chronicles” workshop again in 2022, registration is open.

Even tussendoor voor mijn Nederlandse lezers: eind van het jaar start er weer een nieuwe online “Kronieken” workshop. Je kunt je NU met korting inschrijven. Vind alle informatie HIER

Last thing I want to show today is a spread in my big “Grandes Chaleurs” art journal:

“how to learn to fly”

Thanks for stopping by,
Je t’embrasse

Hi Marit, thanks to you and Lena for the beautiful crossing of your harbor. And, I always love, love having a peek inside your journals! Your page that you made for me still sits where I can see it everyday. A little bridge… from here to there and back again…

What a peaceful scene, even with the duck disturbing the water.

Morning is the best time of day, especially when no one but a duck is around!
