Hi there lovelies. When you read this, I’ll probably be or on my way to, or arrived in Leiden where I take a workshop bookbinding. It’s quite a trip by train and when I get home in the evening I’m sure I will be tired and in need of a good night sleep. However, weekend is lurking and I look forward to spend a day or two in my little atelier. I might even visit your blog then 😉

I submit this haiku to Haiku my Heart
To keep you busy while I’m away for the day, here’s some art journal spreads.
Chronicles, week 42
I painted the wall in our hallway in a nice, grey tone. We did still have three aluminium frames and they will hang agains the wall once we decided which art of mine will be in there to show… Inspired by the painting job and the idea of the frames there, I created this spread.
Chronicles, week 43
In week 43, the clocks were put back to wintertime and another workman climbed up on our roof to try and find (and fix) the leak. (He didn’t…)
Chronicles, week 44
So, we still have a leak in our roof. It’s been 16 months now and they just can’t seem to find and fix it… in week 44 there was again a ‘man on the roof’ – twice… but it still leaks. I found this add in an old magazine and only had to cover the words ‘to buy’ to get the most fitting image for this art journal spread!
Have a lovely weekend, stay warm and dry!

Oh, Marit! I lived with a similar problem. I don’t remember how long it lasted but it took a different roof issue (skylight falling into the bathtub) for them to replace the whole roof. I pray you stay safe and healthy while they figure this out

Those are quite some weavings! I love your haiku for Lena’s photo, Marit! And I always love seeing your art journals. Love that page on your hall and the frames! I hope you had a good time at your binding workshop and time on the train. There is something about the train… that is so magical. And, I hope your leak gets fixed! And soon! Maybe your art-making will make it happen!
