Lately my days are filled with work (going to my job three days a week), spend time in my atelier creating art journal pages, preparing the new online KONIEKEN workshop, making everything ready for the Top 2000 blog party (come join me in December, you are invited!) going for a walk every now and then and – last but not least – spend quality time with my beloved. I haven’t written a proper blog post in ages and a month went by in which I didn’t publish any of my Chronicles spreads online so it’s about time I show you some of my art work.
But first (’cause that’s the tradition, you know) here’s a Friday haiku
Noordzee-kokkeltjes. Het lijken wel insecten. Zie ik beweging? |
little Northsea shells look like a bunch of insects do I see movement? |

I submit this haiku to Haiku my Heart
On to the journal then… I still create art journal spreads almost every week. Even in busy times I throw some paint on the pages and create a ‘quick spread’. It’s just my thing to keep the Chronicles going. Right now I am binding the journal that I want to fill next year and it’s my 13th Chronicles journal, can you believe I have 12 journals filled with weekly pages? It’s quite a stack! Here’s some spreads from October/November.
Chronicles art journal – Week 41
Chronicles art journal – Week 42

Thanks for stopping by,

Hello Marit! Thanks to you and Lena for the photo and haiku. There is so much movement in your haiku and the image! And sound… I can hear the rush of the ocean in and out revealing these treasures! Thanks for the peek inside your artmaking. I always enjoy these. Sending love and hugs for a good weekend to you and your beloved!
