Friday haiku: barnacles

February 11, 2022 By Marit 6 Comments

Friday haiku

Eens was hij een boom.
Nu verzamelt hij als paal
zoute zeepokken.
Once he was a tree.
As a pole he now collects
salty barnacles.

I wonder if my bones… will collect barnacles some day? Or maybe mushrooms… Beautiful in image and haiku. Thank you Marit and Lena.

Thats awesome, Marit. I love trees and I love the sea and barnacles. Bringing the two together naturally is perfect!

I suppose collectors of barnacles belong in this world too. 🙂
